Purpose of this Consultancy
ChildFund would like to conduct a one-day in-person masterclass for 35 of its staff based in Kenya on writing and storytelling. This workshop will be held in Nairobi County.
Consultancy Scope of Work
Under the supervision and in collaboration with the ChildFund communications team, the consultant will implement the following tasks:
Develop the workshop/training methodology, activities, and training/workshop schedule, and submit it to ChildFund for review and feedback.
Finalize workshop methodology and training schedule.
Organize and execute the one-day blended workshops.
Design and conduct an evaluation of the training workshop.
Prepare and submit a training report.
Deliverables
Training methodology and materials: key training materials for the trainers/ facilitators including PowerPoint presentations, assignments, handouts, etc.
Successful delivery of a one-day workshop.
Technical support to participants during the workshop
Final report after the completion of the workshop.
Required Experience and Qualifications
This consultancy is open to any individual consultant or consulting firms/ institutions whose activities are related to the objective and meet the following profile:
High proficiency in English.
Expertise in literacy and demonstrated experience leading writing and storytelling workshops for different organizations in Kenya and Africa. NGO experience is an added advantage.
Deep knowledge of innovative and digital writing techniques (blogs, social media platforms, etc.)
Experience in delivering Training of Trainers Training in developing countries.
Excellent communication, active listening and facilitation skills.
Effectively facilitates power dynamics and difficult conversations in group settings.
PROPOSAL DOCUMENT
While submitting the Technical Proposal, the bidders shall ensure to attach the following:
All statutory documents are mandatory such as Valid Certificate of Incorporation in case of a company/firm/institute, ID/Passport, Valid PIN & Tax Compliance Certificate, CR12, PIN certificate, Business permit, Professional registration documents where applicable.
Capability statement: How the consultant or firm is structured for the assignment, including the CVs of the key personnel who will take part in the consultancy.
Technical Proposal: The consultant’s understanding and interpretation of the Terms of Reference (TOR), a detailed methodology on how the training will be done as well as any other proposed approaches the consultant may deem fit for this assignment.
Financial proposal: the proposal that should include the consultancy fees.
References: Names, addresses, telephone numbers of three organizations that you have conducted such trainings for.
