Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Provide technical support and supervision for implementation of quality community adherence support activities including community ARV refills for HIV care and treatment PMTCT service delivery
Support the establishment and strengthening of community-facility linkages and adherence systems at facilities and community in project area for optimal patient outcomes.
Provide technical support for implementation of Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement of psychosocial support and adherence interventions at facility sites.
Support implementation of evidence-based techniques and strategies to ensure quality programming in adherence and psychosocial support.
Support the identification training needs, plan trainings and facilitate training sessions on adherence and stigma reduction for psychosocial support groups and Peer Educators.
Provide technical support and on the job training to community and facility Peer volunteers
Ensure project activities comply with national guidelines and policies for HIV/AIDS
Develop and distribute appropriate job aids and education materials for treatment support staff and adherence counsellors at the facility sites
Monitor the performance of adherence and community involvement activities at facilities
Facilitate partnership meetings between facility and community adherence staff to review performance on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis at facility, sub-county and county levels.
Provide technical support and supervision to promote linkages between health facilities and community organisations providing HIV support services on adherence and psychosocial support.
Represent APHIAplus and PATH at county, sub-county and facility meetings as may be called upon.

Required Experience
Diploma in Nursing, Public Health, Community Health, or a health related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience providing direct technical support in implementation of health service delivery project with specific experience in HIV/TB projects.
A Bachelor’s degree in health sciences and/or MPH or other master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage, Hands on community experience in HIV service delivery and technical coordination.
Proven experience and familiarity with MOH/GOK health systems, capable of directing and managing change, effective delegation, inspiring teamwork and motivating community staff and partners to achieve results, Computer literacy, Research experience, proposal and abstract writing will be a distinctive advantage.
