The purpose of this role is to lead the commercialization projects for scale-ups and commercialisations, drive the flow and use of SalesForce.com (SFDC) and overall commercialization for Greater Africa across the region. The role requires a team player with strong project management skills. The role requires assertive leadership and being comfortable in holding others (at all levels) to account for rigorous action ownership and strict timelines. Experience in Operations, R&D, Supply Chain or Finance within the Food industry is preferred for this role
Key responsibilities
Manage the commercialization of key new products and transfers – coordinate and support cross-functional team (R&D, Sales, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain) towards the same goal of successful commercialization of new products.
Ensure customer requirements are fully documented, understood, and aligned cross functionally prior to the commencement of the commercialisation.
Lead and coordinate all activities to deliver the first production of the key new product to meet the customer’s launch date.
Develop project plan, timelines and RAID logs to ensure that projects stay on track and key milestones and deliverables are agreed Produce weekly status reports on the status of new products.
Support the key stakeholder in the process with commercialization issues and provide guidance on the use of SFDC Support on Must Win projects, as identified by key stakeholders and management team, to ensure that IO and Commercial are aligned on bigger, must Win projects prior to the point of commercialization.
Embed best practice and identify bottlenecks into the commercialization process.
Act as an escalation point for any problems and work with teams and the Commercialization Manager to mitigate any risks to the project in question.
Assist with ad hoc, additional tasks when required such as the running of SFDC reports, training new users in the process, identification of process improvements, etc.
As required and in tandem with CC act as a link between Kerry Greater Africa and commercialization leads on other Kerry sites to ensure seamless commercialization on all products being commercialised for the Greater African Market.
Support the local sites by coordinating all localization projects in liaison with RDA, Commercial and PMO team.
Qualifications and skills
Related Degree/Diploma Minimum 2 years working experience in related Food industry ·
Strong business knowledge and ability to interface with commercial and business organisation ·
Experience in NPI systems Optiva, MDM, SFDC is is an added advantage. ·
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint ·
Good communication skills ·
Strong project management skills
