Job Purpose
Working as part of the fast – paced Tendering team, the ‘Commercial ‘Tender Engineer(s) will hold a critical position within the Northern Europe & Sub Saharan Africa (NESSA) presales process; with a
proven ability to analyze high level scope requests as well as complex RFPs and prepare technical, execution, costing and offer documentation consistent with bid strategy.
As such, you will have full responsibility for the ‘end to end’ bid process with a core focus on cost and risk underpinned by a good level of technical & project delivery knowledge. You’ll have the tenacity to drive all contributing resources to meet tight deadlines and the talent to compile winning bids, aligned to an agreed strategy, underpinned by all associated governance and cadence.
Principle Accountabilities
Manage a multiple workload to meet required deadlines
Own the total response for all assigned PQQ’s, RFP & quote submissions
Analyse RFQ / Scope, formulate bid plan, engage required resources, and manage contributor deadlines
Prepare Sell & Cost documentation for approval ensuring a balanced sell, cost & risk in line with strategy to maximize GM, utilizing appropriate business tools.
Plan and schedule all required commercial and operational approval calls, ensuring required documentation is submitted on time; with a focus on associated cost & risk due diligence and alignment to strategy together with appropriate content to support successful approval.
Compile compelling & content – appropriate Offer documentation (Proposal ) in line with process, utilizing appropriate business tools, ensuring it accurately reflects the solution, execution & commercial content.
Drive governance and compliance with SE company and local business standards and procedures to meet required deadlines.
Support the Opportunity Leader during customer negotiations, as required
Engage with internal departments to allow timely quote handover, post order receipt
Proactively participate in Win / Loss Analysis reviews and adopt ‘Best Practice’ to improve both process and behaviors.

Role Requirement
Proven experience (5 years) within a Technical Tendering role coupled with very good knowledge of project execution and management.
Good working knowledge of DCS / Safety / PLC / Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications.
An understanding of Contract Terms & Conditions is highly desirable
IT literate with good working knowledge of common MS Office applications in addition to MS Teams and Planner as well as ideally, Bridge Front Office ( bFO ) too
Willing to perform additional duties, as required, to support the Tendering function
