About the Role
This role is about working with customers and providing solutions for their needs mostly within the Google Cloud ecosystem You will be working on our customer’s needs and with other teams to develop and actualize cloud solutions that meet and support our customer’s needs and requirements on the cloud. You will also step in and own our customers’ issues and provide support to them. When customers cannot resolve issues themselves, your job is to ensure that we have the necessary tools and processes to swiftly resolve the issue with as little customer effort as possible. The result will be delivering and exceeding the expectations of the customer’s needs through assorted cloud tools. It involves testing what works and what does not work quickly; adapting what works; and learning from the failures in the next iterations.
You will also be expected to put together the tech know-how with business acumen to help our customers navigate all their cloud computing needs, including infrastructure design, maintenance, support and planning, and everything in between. Not only should you be experienced in cloud-based tech, but have a firm grasp of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS technologies, platforms, and applications, and have intimate knowledge of how best to customize these attributes to our customers’ businesses to help them become more secure and efficient.
Responsibilities
Planning, designing, and deploying cloud applications, systems, and solutions for customers.
Ideating and iterating on the best practices and solutions to deliver to meet customer needs
Assist to design, architect/re-architect and re-platform customer systems to adopt them for cloud
Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.
Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.
Providing direct and indirect support to customers and internal stakeholders
Identifying and employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems for both customers and internal stakeholders
Documenting and building best practices for solutions and architectures for cloud adoptions and cloud solutions
Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company get better.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent practical experience in technical support, professional services, software development, or product operations management.
Experience working with and in cloud environments to test and deploy solutions
Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in deploying and managing ERP such as SAP, Odoo, MS Dynamics
Experience with SQL database administration or open-source software communities
Experience as a system/network administrator working with Linux/Unix or Windows systems, from Kernel to Shell, file systems, and client-server protocols.
Experience with cloud-based serverless, storage, and developer tools technologies.
Experience with web or mobile app development. Experience troubleshooting database issues, schema design, and SQL query profiling.
Familiarity with and certification in GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle is a great advantage
Work Environment
General office environment; Onsite at our Nairobi office, Kenya.
Work involves extended periods of computer use.
Monday to Friday work week.
8 am to 5 pm working hours.
