Clinical Operations Manager Laboratory Manager Unit Manager – Maternity

Job Objective/Purpose
Manage Clinical Services and provide overall leadership of care and clinical practice, ensuring operational efficiency and positive patient experience, in line with the Hospital protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities

People Management:

Liaise with the HM/HR to ensure optimal staff levels, including reallocation of staff per staffing needs, as well as efficient use of overtimes and locums.
Regular staff engagement and monthly staff meetings with documented evidence of attendance
Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, orientation & development of c staff, including mentoring, coaching and developing the team.
Reward, recognition and discipline; ensure deserving staff are recognized, in liaison with HR.
Supervise all unit managers and Doctors within the department (Consultants, MOs,, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Bio Med), Ensuring all clinical Staff register is up to date with contact details all licenses and CPD points
Ensure that all the Clinical Staff have valid practice licenses per the law.
Ensures all clinical staff accurately perform their procedures / tasks as assigned to them, including admission, discharge, drug administration, clinical observations, infection control, etc., and lead performance appraisals.

Clinical Operations

Facilitate and Implement Clinical Governance Committees, Incident Reporting, RCAs with closure of all QIPs and CAs, documenting and Reporting Medico-Legal issues to CMO
Facilitate Credentialing and Privileging of Doctors and other Clinical staff through submitting documents and references for consideration.
Ensure that the unit functions effectively and efficiently by ensuring timely and appropriate investigations and treatment of the patient, including smooth and timely admission process, and Coordinate multidisciplinary care whenever a patient requires it and monitor TAT.
 Ensure that the facility has the necessary equipment, services and supplies that are in good working condition and adequate enough to ensure quality of care and service.
Perform duties as a member of the hospital crisis management committee as guided by the committees TOR.

Ensure financial objectives are met by managing costs within budget, Timely and accurate billing of drugs and services and Ensuring an invoice rejection rate of < 3% by enforcing exclusions, ensuring the necessary pre-authorizations and proper documentation and follow through with the credit control team. Ensure adequate knowledge of, and compliance to all Avenue Healthcare policies, procedures, systems, especially policies pertaining to the provision of medical services. Ensure that Avenue Healthcare corporate governance policies are adhered to, including preventing, detecting, and reporting any fraud or criminal Personal Specifications Postgraduate or Masters in relevant medical field A valid Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists Board (KPMDB) Licence Valid certification in BLS, ACLS or ATLS 5+ years of medical experience and atleast 2+ years of clinical operations and management experience Customer focus and results oriented go to method of application » Apply via : vacancies@avenuehealthcare.com
