Role summary
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to oversee the organization’s technology-related strategies and initiatives, plan for the Musoni’s technology needs and address any tech-related problems. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be required to analyze information and communicate with the Chief Executive Officer as well as Board Members to make sure everyone stays on the same page. He will support the company move forward with advances in technology and methods of processing and managing information while serving as a leader and innovator for the company’s information technology department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Be part of Executive Management in strategy development and implementation process;
Lead IT strategy and operational processes in a way that they align with Musoni’s business strategy to achieve overall Musoni’s goal by fostering innovation;
Prioritize IT initiatives and coordinate the evaluation and deployment of existing and new IT systems, tools and processes;
Analyze the technology infrastructure of the company and its alignment with business strategy;
Examine the company’s operations and how technology works within it;
Develops strategies to improve the efficiency and efficacy of technological initiatives;
Oversee the development and testing of new programs developed specifically for the company;
Conduct ongoing Risk assessment and course correction on current and future IT systems and infrastructure;
Review vendor proposals and make decisions based on things such as price, what they offer, and how the vendor product may fit into the organization;
Ensure the Musoni’s data remains secure by keeping up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and finds ways to guard against them on an organization-wide scale;
Coach members of the IT teams, particularly IT leaders, so everyone stays on the same page across the company;
Develop and maintain Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plan and sustain recovery time objective;
Communicates with other executive members to make sure all parts of the company use technology in the best ways possible.
Work with multiple partners and stakeholders, both internally and externally to develop new innovative business solutions.

Knowledge and Experience:

At least 7 years’ experience in banking/financial sector, and with at least 5 years at a management level in a bank;
Past experience working with core banking systems, and handling core banking migration projects.
Digital Financial Services skills and past experience working with digital products.
Substantial experience in the management of data processes, hardware platforms, infrastructure and security;
Proven excellence in project management and of successful project delivery;
Ability to apply IT solutions to business challenges in a cost-effective manner;
Excellent communication skills – providing verbal and written communication that is outstanding to both direct reports and senior management as well as other stakeholders;
Honesty, excellent interpersonal skill, strong negotiation skill and attention to detail;
Strong ability to present idea in business friendly and user-friendly language;
Ability to motivate and create a collaborate environment;
Ability to construct business models and write business plans with financial projections.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in computer science or information technology related subject.
Professional certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc.) is preferred.
