Chief Operating Officer Technical Training Lead Talent Success Lead Founder’s Associate

We are looking for a dynamic operational leader to serve as Tana’s Chief Operating Officer. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in building and managing teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple business functions. You will work closely with the Cofounders to refine strategy and drive operational efficiencies while ensuring the success of our talent at partner organisations.

Responsibilities

Operational excellence: Establish and refine scalable operational workflows that improve efficiency across all business functions. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, standardise processes, and ensure the organisation can effectively scale. Continuously assess operational performance through KPIs, adapting strategies as necessary to drive excellence.
Team leadership: Manage and mentor function leads across Talent Success, Recruitment, Training, and Operations. Set clear goals, provide structured feedback, and create opportunities for professional growth. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring alignment between teams and overall company objectives.
Talent lifecycle management: Oversee the entire talent pipeline, from sourcing and recruitment to onboarding, training, and client placement. Ensure that Fellows are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in partner organisations. Develop and refine strategies to maximise talent engagement, performance, and long-term retention.
Financial & administrative oversight: Partner with the Operations Lead to ensure effective financial management, HR processes, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Monitor and optimise budgets, payroll, and expenditures while maintaining fiscal responsibility and transparency.
Strategy: Work closely with the Co-founders to develop and execute expansion strategies. Identify new opportunities for growth, implement process improvements, and leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making. 

Requirements

5+ years of experience in management consulting or a start-up strategy/operations role.
Proven leadership experience in managing teams and scaling operational functions.
Strong ability to translate strategic vision into actionable initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to drive growth, optimise processes, and measure performance outcomes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.
