Executive Team Operations
Ensure that the CEO’s time is maximized and spent on those activities that drive forward her priorities, which are to:
Galvanize continued progress towards our core purpose and core values, vision and intended outcomes, and aligned operating approach
Build understanding of and support for this strategy across and beyond the network
Ensure we develop a path to achieving this strategy sustainably, through accessing the resources we need for Teach For All and partners and allocating those resources effectively
Build our global organization’s leadership strength, diversity and inclusiveness, fostering the culture and ways of working necessary to fulfill the mandate of the global organization
Contribute to the global education ecosystem through sharing learnings and perspectives
Further strengthen governance bodies including the global Board of Directors and Network Advisory Committee
Manage an effective scheduling and support team comprised of the CEO’s Executive Assistant and a Senior Associate, Operations
Ensure that the CEO’s travel is thoughtfully and sustainably managed:
Work across teams to assess competing priorities for the CEO’s travel
Create a comprehensive travel calendar for CEO review on a quarterly basis
Support internal teams and external stakeholders, where appropriate, to maximize the CEO’s participation in trips or events
Oversee the team’s budget and ensure expenditures are cost-effective and aligned with the team’s mandate
Governance & Advisory Bodies
Ensure strong engagement of and fiduciary oversight by Teach For All’s governance and advisory bodies
Lead the planning and project management of the Board of Directors (including committee) meetings
Partner with the CEO and Chair to identify topics at the right intersection of Teach For All’s most strategic questions and Board member expertise
Project manage and directly prepare all meeting materials – including agendas, the CEO report, committee reports, strategic pre-readings, and Chair notes
Draft and send key correspondence to the Board on behalf of the CEO and Chair
Serve as the staff liaison to the Governance and Human Capital Committee
Partner with the CEO and Committee Chair to develop plan agendas
Project manage our Board development efforts – including keeping track of member terms, as well as researching and advancing prospective Board members
Project manage bi-annual Board engagement survey
Lead on celebrations for Board transitions
Lead the planning and project management of Network Advisory Council meetings
Partner with the CEO and other team leads to identify topics of strategic importance and develop annual and monthly agendas
Manage all preparation of materials and correspondence in the lead-up to meetings
Project manage Board and NAC participation in the annual Global Conference
Organizational Culture & Coherence
Contribute to growing Teach For All’s impact and continually strengthening organization-wide effectiveness, culture, and coherence
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to plan, design, and deliver highly effective annual reflections on our Intended Outcomes, Core Values, Ways of Working, and Operating Norms
Plan and design meaningful monthly organization-wide forums that serve to build community, build shared consciousness and understanding, and provide space for reflection as we endeavor to advance our work, by identifying topics and call hosts, developing and project managing session plans, and highlighting staff celebrations and important announcements
Partner with the CAO, People Circle, and Tech team to strengthen organization-wide systems and processes
CEO Communications
Draft effective, strategic written communication for the CEO to internal and external stakeholders
Draft CEO’s monthly “community email” to Teach For All’s key internal and external stakeholders
Draft CEO’s monthly email to partner CEOs across the network
Partner with the CEO to draft key messages to staff on Slack
Draft key correspondence between the CEO and important external stakeholders
Draft memos to Board of Directors
Ad hoc Strategic Support
Provide ad hoc strategic support to the CEO
Serve as a partner to the CEO for various strategic projects and issue management – including providing project management, cross-team coordination, and communication support

Demonstrated experience or interest in providing strategic support to senior executives, including the ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, operate flexibly, and develop innovative solutions.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects through to completion simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrable skill at managing laterally, building meaningful relationships, and working across teams and functions
Strong communication skills – in particular, an excellent ability to synthesize and write high-quality communications quickly
Resilience and the ability to handle ambiguity and navigate through complex challenges.

Teach For All’s Executive Management Team is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CEO. The Chief of Staff will play a vital role by partnering with the CEO to:
Ensure that the CEO’s time is maximized and spent on those activities that drive forward the organization’s vision and intended outcomes and her priorities by maximizing the operational support of the executive management team
Ensure strong engagement of and fiduciary oversight by Teach For All’s governance and advisory bodies
Contribute to growing Teach For All’s impact and continually strengthening organizational effectiveness, culture and coherence
Draft effective, strategic written communication for the CEO to internal and external stakeholders
