As our Chief of People, you will lead the People & Culture activities within Roam. As such, you will
Work with leadership to design the company strategy and take ownership of strategy implementation with the lens of People & Culture
Work across all layers of the company to design & implement organizational processes
Work closely with the operations and strategy team to develop and implement tooling for an efficient and effective work and growth environment
Culture eats strategy for breakfast. Hence it is important that you drive culture throughout the organization by developing content and designing the implementation and retention of that culture
Help position the company through its employee branding in collaboration with the communications team
Manage the HR and Talent team in the service delivery value chain by ensuring that all areas of HR create value for the business. This includes recruitment, training and growth, employee retentions, HRIS management under Kenyan and international law, performance management as well as compensation and benefits
Qualifications:
You are a thought-leader in the HR field with experience in growing and leading an HR team.
You have developed and implemented organizational structure for a fast growing organization in a cross-cultural setting.
You have an entrepreneurial mindset; e.g. agile, commercial, self-assertive and strong people skills.
You have affinity with working with engineers in early-stage, hardware development and production environments.
You are driven by curiosity and a quick learner in new environments
You have strong empathy, communication & interpersonal skills.
You have project management skills, can work multi-disciplinary, manage projects in parallel on-time and within budget and across different cultures.
Nice to Have:
You have experience in product development environment for complex hardware
You have experience in working in East Africa, speaking Kiswahili
You have a relevant network for talent across the electric mobility value-chain; commercial and technical, junior and executive
