Chief Finance Officer

The CFO will be accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, which manufactures plastic products, food products and other FMCG. The right candidate will have not less than 10 years’ experience managing financial systems. The job may require extensive national and regional travel.
Responsibilities for the Chief Finance Officer Job
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop financial and tax strategies
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems
Implement operational best practices
Oversee employee benefit plans
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Report financial results to the executive team
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report risk issues to the executive team
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Arrange for debt and equity financing as well as investing in funds

Financial planning and strategy skills with strong strategic planning skills
Ability to lead other functions in financial quality management
The candidate chief financial officer should have a master’s degree in accounting or business administration
A bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent Finance qualifications. Must be a CPA(K)
More than 10 years progressive experience
Must have experience reporting to the executive team and working closely with the CEO
Must be able to hire and manage a strong Finance team
Treasury experience is essential
Knowledge and experience working with the NSE is mandatory
Must have the resilience to deal with complex business environments
Must be a very strong leader
