Who we are looking for:
General Purpose
The Management Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to prepare and provide accurate and timely financial reports and statements, analyze financial information, and prepare a commentary of the same, ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures are followed.
Provision of accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of AM business, while ensuring compliance with all tax regulations
This position will support the Chief Accountant with the coordination and timely delivery of work done by the accounting team.
Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

Compile, analyze and provide timely financial management reports, including monthly and annual accounts, along with necessary commentary and comparisons to previous time frame as well as to the Budget.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Develop and maintain financial databases
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and ensure all data is backed up timely.
Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process. Preparation of baseline information and schedule and coordination of the external audits.
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
Assist in preparing timely and accurate budgets and forecasts
Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
Prepare and provide timely, information and analysis of accounts as requested
Management information required by the management

Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
Monitor and support taxation requirements
Monitor and review monthly Balance sheet account reconciliation and perform P&L analysis to ensure the integrity of local accounts
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
Analyze and report profit margins
Managing overall accounting and finance functions including annual audits.
Preparing profit & loss statements and handling monthly closing.
Preparing financial reports in compliance with government regulations.
Providing management reports to the Head Office and the Regional Office.
Preparing annual budgets, comparing actual results with budgets and giving comments.
Preparing and filing tax returns in a timely manner.
Preparing cheques.
Prepare journal entries
Complete general ledger operations
Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
Draw up monthly financial reports
prepare analysis of accounts as requested
Assist with year-end closings.

Education and Requirements

BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
Additional certification (CPA or CIMA) would be an added advantage.
Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Experience with general ledger functions
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
Knowledge of finance and economic principles
Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
Knowledge and experience of accounting computer applications
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.

Key Skills and Competencies
Who we are looking for:

Overall responsible for the PVC Plant including Production, Sales and Stock management to ensure good quality products and customer satisfaction while adhering to approved cost and efficiency.
Responsible for all the assets placed under the division including building, machinery, vehicles and equipment.
Oversee the production department to ensure that quality products are manufactured at the plant in an efficient manner, within the budget and to customer satisfaction.
Manage materials and stocks of finished goods to ensure that stocks are at optimum levels to avoid stock outs or having excess stocks by close monitoring of production planning and purchasing.
Oversee the plant maintenance to ensure optimum uptime and production capacity.
Ensure that the plant and all division operations are legally compliant in all aspects like Occupational Health and Safety among others as per industry requirements.
Create, implement, measure and review a performance-based management system by creating clear and up to date job roles, KPIs, appraisal and competitive reward system that encourages an environment of teamwork and employees willingly produce at maximum capacity.
Supervise and empower all direct reports to achieve their individual and team goals.
Ensure adherence to the laid down policy, procedures and manuals in the division in all processes and documentation with an objective of upholding all the necessary certifications.
Ensure all human resource functions are performed in liaison with the Group Human Resource Office
Achieve set annual budget both top-line and NPBT.
Prepare necessary reports and attend senior management meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s in business related degree or Engineering
7- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing set- up preferable Plastic extrusion
Master’s degree in Management is desirable
