CORE JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position’s key responsibilities are:
Develop and implement strategic and tactical initiatives including product development and branch network growth to achieve business growth targets.
Ensure an optimized organizational structure with the right people in the right positions, ensuring achievement of productivity targets.
Managing the customer service operations to enhance a customer centric culture, improve loan application processes and turnaround time to meet customer retention and growth targets.
Promote a proactive risk management culture across the business to deliver within PAR targets
Develop and execute the ‘purpose strategy’, establish value-adding partnerships to achieve social impact metrics and promote the brand.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible and accountable for the following core job elements, among others:
Develop sustainable business growth plans including objectives, KPI’s and targets to drive growth.
Develop sales initiatives leveraging or overseeing management of sales leads, building the brand equities through targeted marketing initiatives to achieve short-, medium- and long-term goals.
Lead, design and improve risk management tools to mitigate credit, operations and reputation risks.
Ensuring a high quality, risk adjusted overall loan portfolio against targets.
Monitor interest rate movements and adjust company rates appropriately to remain within strategy.
Drive innovation by identifying and recommending best practices, processes, products and services.
Lead a rapidly growing team and branch network to achieve highest levels of performance.
Manage sales and marketing support budgets, operating processes ensuring utilization of resources in a cost-effective manner to achieve financial effectiveness.
Manage ‘end to end’ social, digital and other marketing or communication strategies and tactics.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service excellence, retention and growth.
Ensure compliance with company values, operating policies and procedures, laws and regulations.
EDUCATIONAL AND COLLATERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent.
A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Eight or more years of financial services business growth and development experience.
A background in lending, leasing and mortgage services to SME’s provider at middle or higher-level management.
Thorough understanding of management of a financial business, regulatory compliance, board reporting, as well as demonstrable commercial and business acumen.
Experience and achievement in all facets of selling financial services lifecycle, strategy development, problem solving, team building and performance management.
At least forty percent of time travelling outside Nairobi will be required.
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, negotiation and presentation skills. Good Microsoft Office skills.
Self-starter, team player, mature individual with outstanding strategic, entrepreneurial, analytical, numerate, creative skills, communication and presentation talents.
