Job Description: A Mining Services / Contracting company is in search of an experienced Chief Accountant for their projects in Kenya. The Chief Accountant will report directly in to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities: Lead a small team of accountants
Ensure effective management and control of the centralized accounting function
To ensure strict compliance in all statutory requirements
To undertake analytical review of all accounting records in ERP and prepare reconciliations
Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
To assume responsibility for cost control measures and to analyse cost variations
Requirements: Qualification and Skill Kenyan Nationals strongly encouraged to apply
Must be ACCA / CA / ACA qualified
At least 5 years’ experience in accounting / finance discipline
Experience in an audit firm advantageous
