Channel Manager

Purpose of the job
Lead the sales operations network (i/e. direct and/or indirect) and the distributor sales team to deliver agreed objectives.
Key Responsibilities will be to;
 
Create and generate demand for our products through creating a network around the channel;
To effectively develop and manage distributors through tracking of customer business plans deployment in the regions;
Customer analysis insight, strategy, dilemmas, targets, goals, obstacles to understand and share thebusiness opportunity for Nestle Profession;
Recruitment of operators and sellers for the street operation model;
Relationship building with existing customers and recruit new customers to increase our customer base;
Adapt business plan from head office to the distributors;
Ensure optimal availability of products over long and short term;
Monitor sales to ensure targets and objectives are met;
Handle customer complaints and enquiries with the support of Consumer Services in Kenya;
Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure product availability in line with sales requirements;
The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum skills and competencies;
 
Honors degree from arecognized university, preferably in the areas of Sales or Business Administration;
Minimum 5 years in marketing or sales, and over this period has successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottom line business results;
Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop people;
Good knowledge of channel structure and opportunities ;
Experience working with Hotels, Restaurants, Cafeteria’s/ food service industry channels;
