About the Role
ACRE Africa – a leading microinsurance company for smallholder farmers – is seeking to hire a new Chief Executive Officer to drive the next phase of growth and change.
The CEO will be responsible for the success of ACRE Africa by helping to develop innovative new insurance products and build new distribution partnerships with the insurance industry. The CEO will also focus on building and developing the team.
Reporting to the board of directors, the successful candidate will be offered an internationally competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
Setting strategy and direction;
Setting the company’s culture, values, and behaviour;
Building and leading the senior executive team;
Manage the growth of the business, with an emphasis on streamlining existing operations and enhancing the sales process;
Develop and execute new operational systems and processes to improve efficiency and create the conditions for growth;
Does this sound like you?
A minimum of 15 years’ experience, of which at least 5 years should be in a CXO or GM role at a reputed organisation, with a strong track record of achievement, ideally in a startup or equivalent high growth context;
A track record of change management, having led transformation initiatives in previous organisations, including developing and implementing new systems and processes.
Strong existing knowledge and experience of the insurance and/or the smallholder agriculture sectors.
