Main job purpose
Role holder will be required to proactively challenge and drive the business agenda, by providing financial support, guidance, and insights to Unilever Kenya business unit. In addition, he/she will ensure that financial considerations are the key criteria in all business decisions.

Key Accountabilities
Robust Analytics on Distributor ROWC/ROI to identify opportunities/efficiencies (optimal cost of coverage, KD health check tool kit, ROWC Guide).
Analyse financial risks & opportunities of different RTM models (e.g. Cost+, Fixed Margin); Trade Terms Risk Assessment (vs CD Standards) in conjunction with CD to help drive profitable distribution expansion
Leverage Customer/Channel Value Assessment (CCVA) and Route to Market (RTM) analyses to drive sharper big bet choices, resource allocations & target alignment to UL growth model.
Conduct regular Key Distributor Audit Activities (e.g. quarterly for KD Cost+ model).
Partner in CD capability development & integration projects (such as Territory, Distributor, & Channel Outlet Management – TDOM, LeverEdge & Financial Module).
Provide finance expertise in various DT initiatives and assist DT practitioners in matters relating to Finance, which include (but not limited to) inventory and debtor management, taxation, investment analysis, etc
Fixed TTS management – Create and maintain sales deals in SAP (on invoice terms, MT enhanced margins).
Constructively challenge business partners on core impact areas e.g. making Channel/Customer business choices/ trade investment resource allocation, simplifying business, ROWC/profitable growth mindset and performance culture.
Respond to audit issues and implement corrective measures on actions highlighted in all audit reports.
Maintain accurate overviews of all Customers Trade Terms and ensure that customer finance transactions teams have appropriate accruals for all off -invoice terms
Maintains the integrity of information under their stewardship.
Develop in-depth Retail industry (Customer/Channel/RTM) understanding with ability to apply to business operations & strategy.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Must be holder of bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Must be holder of Professional qualification vis CPA, C.I.M.A or any other from recognized body.
At least 2-3 Years’ Experience in similar or related role
Strong knowledge and practical experience in the application of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word tools.
Good knowledge/hands on of an ERP system- SAP.
Strong analytical skills, Excel modelling skills and attention to detail
