This role is responsible for:
Category business strategy development and execution
Category budgeting and forecasting
Category financial analysis to drive superior ROI
Price plans
Market intelligence
Regional Stewardship leader
Key Responsibilities
Annual business plan development – as part of multifunctional team develop annual business plan including, volume building blocks, pricing strategy, promotional strategy for selective categories/brands across the region
Monthly forecast update – monthly update of business plans. Forecast change reconciliation and articulation of choices/R&O to deliver targets
Monthly reviews of the business status with senior leadership
Marketing support activities budget management – ensuring the appropriate budgets are approved and deployed to respective teams with regular reviews ensuring spending is in line with budget
Competitive landscape understanding – lead local commercial competitor landscape assessment and incorporate insights into business plans.
Organiation – Coach & train broader multifunctional team and if applicable also direct reports. Coach and develop brand teams to improve their financial understanding and application.
Stewardship – ensure regular drum beat of proactive stewardship activities & coordinate stewardship issues resolution for the region.
This role has overall responsibility for end to end financial leadership of a selected categories/brands including development of growth plans and analysing business performance. The role is also responsible for leading stewardship activities across the region.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
5-8 years relevant work experience providing financialleadership in multifunctional teams
Needs to have relevant (FMCG) finance analysis experience
Multi-functional team experience
Proficient accounting skills
Have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
