Business Development Manager – Retail

Job Purpose: 
The role holder will be responsible for top-line growth in sales to retail customers through Retail and Corporate business. The role holder will manage a team of Business Development Officers and drive business through all the intermediaries.
Key responsibilities:

Drive BAM retail sales targets through the different Channels.
Drive growth in retail client numbers through all Channels.
Aggressive weekly Branch and client engagements – At least 3 per week of each.
Provide regular training to the Financial Advisor (FA) Network/units and Branches on investments products, processes, and target markets.
Open markets for the Financial Advisors (FA) network.
Maintaining relationships with Branch Managers to ensure 50% on target.
Regular Channel and BDO engagements and pipeline management/ tracking and conversion – target 30% conversion.
Joint client pitching with the Business Development Officers (BDOs) , Branch Managers and FAs- follow up to ensure closure.
Client onboarding, meetings and responsible for day-to-day relationship management.
Relationship management with all the internal and external stakeholders.
Take up other delegated duties as and when.
Organize industry events-Generate Pipeline and ensure Return on Investment (ROI).
Preparation of presentations for customers, meetings and any other arising need.
Prepare periodic reports as demanded by the business.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Relevant Professional qualification (CISI) or it’s equivalent is an added advantage.
5 -8 years sales management experience in the financial services sector 3 – 4 of which must be in a management position.
Knowledge of Capital Markets Authority and Retirement Benefits Authority regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of Asset Managers products.
Sales and marketing skills.
Strong stakeholder management, presentation & communication skills.
