Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
3-5 years in business development, sales, or a related role, with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
Experience in LPG Cylinder Manufacturing industries is an added advantage.
Job role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and expanding market share for LPG cylinder manufacturing and revalidation along with LPG tank fabrications within Kenya and international markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to execute sales initiatives, negotiate deals, and collaborate across teams to achieve ambitious targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold outreach.
Client Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed quarterly/annual sales goals.
Proposal Development: Create tailored proposals, presentations, and contracts aligned with client needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with company objectives.
Industry Engagement: Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
Performance Tracking: Monitor sales metrics, market trends, and competitor activity to adjust strategies and provide actionable reports.
Negotiation: Lead contract discussions, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
