Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales, establish strategic partnerships, and expand our market presence in Kenya. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, sales, and relationship management, with a deep understanding of the Kenyan market.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in Kenya.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
Negotiate contracts and close business deals to drive revenue growth.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure client satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
4-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in Kenya.
Proven track record of achieving premium sales targets and business growth.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Kenyan business landscape, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
Experience in an industry relevant to the company (e.g., technology, finance, FMCG, healthcare, etc.).
Ability to analyze data and develop actionable business strategies.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for business growth.
Fluency in English and Swahili is an added advantage.
