Business Development Executive- Digital Sales Head Of Business Development

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To grow Retail, Affinity & SME business by generating new business Motor, Medical, Life, Pensions, SME, GI, Home Insurance using the available Digital Solutions and other distribution lines in line with the Retail & SME budget and Strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities

Grow business in line with agreed individual and team sales targets
Lead the Business Development team and manage the day to day sales operations
Manage the Retail & SME sales pipelines for reporting and tracking of sales progress
Generate prospect list for the Retail & SME division
Coordinate market storms to ensure smooth selling operations at client premises
Ensure the smooth conversion of digital sales and the digital sales journey
Manage the Retail & SME digital assets in liaison with the digitalization team to ensure a cohesive sales and customer journey for all clients
Ensure new business won meets KYC documentation threshold
Ensure new business won is line with the credit-control policy requirements
Conduct product and process training to the sales team and the larger Retail team
Identify markets & new partnership opportunities for the Retail & SME division
Propose new products & product enhancement in line with client’s needs
In liaison with the Marketing division, develop relevant marketing collateral
Maintain a close working relationship with the Insurers
Maintain the staff incentive record of all new business referred by staff to Retail & SME
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Key Result Areas:
The accountability areas are as follows;

100% new business budget attainment
80% growth of new business for Retail & SME
60% of new business coming through digital sales assets
Enhance at least 15 features of the existing digital assets

Knowledge and Skills Required:
The jobholder must possess:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Professional insurance qualifications (AIIK or Diploma in CII or LOMA)
Experience in business development and managing a sales team
A healthy knowledge of IT solutions and systems
