Branding and Storytelling Lead

The role: 
As the Branding and Storytelling Lead, your primary focus is to tell the brand story of Flutterwave in a way that benefits the company and improves positive brand perception with key stakeholders. You should have an exceptional understanding of communication strategy, social media, pop culture, and content creation. Workload will be high and varied, so you must be able to multitask across various projects.
You will be responsible for presenting our products in ways that will strengthen our brand and grow users. Creative and quantitative thinking is crucial and familiarity with various product marketing techniques, like email campaigns, product announcements etc. Your goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable plans to position and promote our products.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be Like 

Ensure content shared on all channels – digital and traditional platforms, is optimised to achieve marketing objectives
Generate ideas for content and marketing campaigns
Write and produce quality content, taking into account the conventions and limitations of platforms being utilised. 
Manage and respond to negative feedback on social media
Use content creation and editing software to create quality content
Liaise with the Graphic Design department to produce marketing collateral
Collect and collate feedback into actionable points
Track analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns. 
Study company products
Translate technical details into benefits for the user
Follow and analyze market trends to position products
Develop product marketing strategies (advertising, product launching)
Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns)
Work with various teams (Design, Growth, Product, Customer experience) to implement strategies
Test marketing product features, releases and ad copy
Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a product marketer, brand manager or a similar role
An understanding of conventions and purposes of specific marketing processes and methods
An understanding of the conventions and ‘best practice’ of specific social media platforms
Broad understanding of social and digital media
Experience of using scheduling tools (including HootSuite, TweetDeck, Buffer and SproutSocial)
Intimate knowledge and understanding of SEO and Analytics 
Desire to continually evolve your personal understanding of marketing and social media trends
Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager or similar role
Background in design and copywriting is a plus
Experience in market analysis
Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)
Excellent communication skills
A keen eye for detail
Creativity
Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field is a plus
