Brand Manager

About the Role:
The Brand Manager will manage relevant Kenchic brands (Processed chicken and day-old chicks), the budget and is responsible for assisting the Head of Processed Chicken Sales and Marketing in the development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns to achieve business short and long-term business objectives.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Development of marketing strategy:

Carry out a consistent brand and competitor analysis contributing to strategy development
Work with research agencies, business analysts and the sales teams to understand the consumer needs for both processed chicken and day-old chicks
Strategic planning; Actively participate in the development of the annual marketing plans and budget preparation

Prepare, plan and manage projects to deliver timely and relevant marketing campaigns

Execution of marketing plans:

Brief and manage (relevant) agencies (PR + Creative + Media + + Digital + BTL) to execute marketing plans
Manage all suppliers relating to the development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotions
Development and facilitation of promotion ideas and execution in trade via partners or internal teams
Prepare business justification cases for marketing activities
Conduct M&E exercises for all marketing activities
Manage marketing budget including monthly reporting on the same

Liaise with Head of Marketing for media support
Liaise with the sales team to deliver execution on-ground in line with brand guideline
Trade support

Train sales team and channel partners on new market campaigns and products
Regular trade visits to attain feedback and intel on product

Relationship management

Build strong relationships with PR, Creative, Digital, Media and BTL agencies as the lead contact
Build relationships with trade partners; internal and external

Monitoring and Evaluation

To monitor the accurate spend of marketing budgets as per annual brand plan, recommending areas of improvement
Prepare post-marketing activity documents
Prepare monthly reports of budget vs spend

Understand the business

Product understanding
Customer understanding

Actively participate in briefing research requirements as well as generation of customer insights
Analyze research data, including feedback from the retail chain and customer care in order to recommend corrective actions and lead in their execution

Route to market intelligence
The brand manager is also expected to conduct regular trade visits

Identify and activate annual special events as well as important ad hoc events
Support company CSR activities
Support the PC & DOC Sales Manager in the day to day marketing activities
Any other duties that shall be assigned to you by Management from time to time.
