Job Summary:
Our client is looking to hire a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
Key responsibilities:
Develop a range of creative cocktails and demonstrate barista skills to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Maintain personal hygiene, adhere to dress code, and follow safety protocols.
Ensure the crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
I am correctly taking food and drink orders and communicating the order details to the kitchen staff.
Prepare and serve cocktails/Coffee with precision and creativity.
Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock-taking as required.
Promote special dishes, beverages, or desserts to guests and upsell other products/services, including cocktails and beverages.
Participating in incentives to drive sales and promote café
Taking customer orders promptly
Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure correct meals are delivered.
Requirements
Certificate/diploma in Food and Beverage.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end restaurant.
Good oral and written communication skills (English & Swahili).
Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Must be able to make cocktails/Coffee.
He/she should be a good team player and possess excellent customer service skills.
Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
