Associate-Agriculture

Detailed Responsibilities:

Research and analysis: Conduct in-depth research, data collection, and analysis to inform strategic project decisions.
Technical expertise: Apply advanced agricultural or animal science knowledge to plan and implement impactful projects.
Project management: Lead or support agricultural or livestock projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Client engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Capacity building: Train and mentor stakeholders to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Reporting and documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring and evaluation: Develop monitoring frameworks to track project progress and evaluate impact.
Sectoral knowledge sharing: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to contribute to organizational and client knowledge.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Sustainable Agriculture, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years in agricultural consultancy, rural development, or livestock management.

Skills and competences:

Passion for agricultural development and improving rural livelihoods.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Adaptability and willingness to travel as required.
Strong attention to detail
A strong field orientation and proven interpersonal skills
Good spoken and written English
Proficient in Word and Excel
