Assistant Planning Engineer Project Coordinator

Responsibilities.

Assist in preparing baseline program, schedules, milestones, deliverables and timelines as per project management plan in MS Project, Primavera.
Assist in Developing and Integrate a robust Work, Cost and Organisational Breakdown Structure and Project Control Structures in terms of project scope, in accordance with templates and company procedures.
Assist with the development, review and analysis of project schedules, CPM software implementation, time impact and delay analysis and review of periodic schedule updates.
Monitor and update accurate schedule progress toward achieving the desired project completion date and inform the project management team of changes to schedule outcomes.
Resource planning, scheduling knowledge.
Assist in Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports with respect to the project micro plan.
Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts or dashboards, and schedule analysis
Coordinate with all project parties to collate project status reports.
Identify schedule variances of project status against schedule baseline.
Maintain records of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
Prepare forecasts resulting from significant deviations from scheduled baselines.
Coordinate with Project manager / Project coordinator/ Department HODs for resolution of project control issues on site.
Conduct regular project site inspections and identify the project concerns.
Monitoring of Project Budget vs Actual (Cost & Man-hour).
Direct support and interface with Cost Estimating team with productivities and quantities assessment, and any other required task.
At the completion of the project, assist in developing and recording the project’s historical schedule information and “lessons learned”, for use in ongoing or future projects.

Organisation Reporting Structure.

The Assistant Planning Engineer will report to the PPC Manager.
General Manager —– > PPC Manager —— > Assistant Planning engineer

Education and Experience.

Bachelor in Engineering or Diploma (Mechanical, Marine or Electrical).
Minimum of 3 years related experience in Shipyard, Marine or Fabrication Industry.
Primavera P6, MS Project & Excel practical experience is essential.
Experience and demonstrated skill in overall project reporting activities.
