Responsibilities:
Analyze demand and lead times for the different functions and develop optimal reorder levels in accordance with stock schedules.
Monitor supply markets and trends including price changes, possible shortages, and changes in suppliers, interpret the impact of these trends on company strategies, and develop supply options and contingency plans that support company needs.
Planned, prepare, and floating of tenders and inquiries in liaison with the Procurement Manager – Shared Services. Negotiate the best prices with the respective potential tenderers and in consultation with the Procurement Manager – Shared Services to ensure the company gets the best value for its money.
Maintain records on the performance of suppliers for purposes of providing performance
feedback and updating service provider lists.
Ensure all the proper documentation required for purchase orders is completed and expedite the purchase orders with vendors and suppliers.
Prepare periodic procurement status reports for management review.
Plan for and manage all interactions with third-party suppliers and create collaborative/partnership relationships with key suppliers in order to identify and realize new value and reduce risk.
Conduct due diligence on selected third-party providers to ensure quality is achieved at the most reasonable cost and that transactions are legally and financially viable.
Review purchase requisitions against company policies and approve relevant requisitions for the development of purchase orders.
Manage, train, up-skill, motivate, and retain a high-performing team. This responsibility is critical because it ensures that the team is well-equipped, motivated, and supported to carry out their tasks effectively.
Formulate relevant programs to ensure that the skills and experience of the team are consistent with business needs for providing quality present and future services and are aligned with personal development plans.
Requirements:
Must have a bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics or related field.
CIPS certification or professional qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics.
6 years of demonstrated experience in Procurement or Supply Management Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a high level of integrity and ethics.
Member of a professional supplies & procurement regulatory body or its equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in managing a team.
Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
Proficiency in SAP ERP is a Must.
Proficiency in Ariba P2P would be an added advantage.
