Assistant Catering Manager

The Role
St Andrew’s, Turi is seeking to appoint an Assistant Catering Manager who assist in the completion of relevant paperwork, ordering of foodstuffs and the daily running of the School kitchens.
Reporting to the Catering Manager this position is responsible for ensuring the supervision of all the kitchen staff in all aspects of catering as well as supporting the on–going trainings and adherence to the Health & Safety protocols.
The role has a significant strategic element to it and the appointee will be expected to work with the Catering Manager on the Strategy of the School and to oversee the catering services including students and parent satisfaction analysis.
The Assistant Catering Manager will be experienced in drawing up menus, preparation of food, delivery and presentation in a 5 Star restaurant set–up.
The Assistant Catering Manager should expect to work flexible hours including long hours in order to fulfil the requirements of the position.
The appointment is seen as critical to the School’s success and the appointee will play a central role in the School’s development.

QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL

A diploma in Food & Beverages from a recognised institution

DESIRABLE

Basic good hygiene qualification and/or equivalent vocational qualification
