Job purpose:
This role is responsible for managing operations within the region assigned. This involves business development aimed at promoting the products and services offered. The role is also responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating and monitoring of activities within the region assigned to grow the sales and support quality improvement initiatives for the organization’s offerings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Managerial/supervisory/operations
Oversee and implement the company strategy within the region and ensure that the sales managers are working towards the strategy.
Achieve an individual monthly sales target of Ksh. 7.5 Million per Month.
Achieve Qualitative Targets- monthly, quarterly & annually. Qualitative targets include:
Promoting sales through influencers/ consultants.
Conducting Promotional activities (exhibitions and demonstrations)
Popularizing the Company show room by engaging customers to visit our facilities.
Working closely with the sales managers within the region to devise plans and activities to support the achievement of sales targets.
Using web based tools.
Managing key accounts.
Identifying low hanging fruits & upselling.
Implementing CRM activities through strong services.
Move dead stock.
Participate in development of new products
Initiate client prospect meetings for new sales opportunities
Interface with existing strategic customers to solidify mutual expectations of performance and growth.
Enhance relationship management for new and existing business to maintain and grow the customer base.
Compiling and analyzing sales figures and submitting real time reports.
Carry out market intelligence and giving constant feedback to the business on trends in the market
Keeping up to date with products and competitors within the industry
Any other duties that may be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.
Knowledge and experience & required
At least 5 years experience in a large organization in an active commercial environment
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Other skills and competencies required:
Experience in managing a sales region
Experience in marketing
Experience in managing relationships with customers and management teams
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
Willingness and ability to grow, support and develop talent within the region
Ability to work under pressure to deliver challenging targets.
Project Management qualifications (at least 3 years) and/or experience will be an added advantage.
Have minimum 5 years’ experience in sales
Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Willing to travel quite extensively
Experience in B2B sales of Kitchen, Laundry or technical equipment will be an added advantage.
