Agronomy Business Developer

The main purpose of the job will be; responsible for development and overseeing implementation of agronomy marketing plans, generating profitability and maximizing production growth, acquisition and maintenance of agronomy customers and through developing a key agronomy marketing activity.
Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for developing and maintaining an effective agronomy program that includes strategies to develop and grow product lines, improve the already acquired regions through follow up and follow through activities and work closely with the field agronomist to coordinate common marketing thrust and administration activities.
Develop and oversee implementation of agronomy growing plan that aligns with company goals and objectives.
Review regions analysis to determine planting schedules that will enable a throughout seasons supply of raw materials in the organization.
Develop and implement written competitive strategies on each region such as annual production goals, ROI and manage agronomist incentives.
Develop and implement strategies to provide assigned field agronomies with agronomy training and with structured post-training farm visits to improve adoption.
Responsible for preparing recommendation for annual planting and production budgets
Supports and participates in company training activities, functions and meeting
Responsible for ensuring that all farmers in all regions are Compliant with good horticultural practices.
Oversee the contractual agreement of all the farmers in every region.
Responsible for ensuring the crops specialties comply with the customer and government regulatory safety and quality standards and all other company policies and procedures.
Ability to obtain and maintain applicable licenses and certifications in Horticulture

Requirements

The ideal candidate should hold Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture with 4 years’ experience in Agribusiness or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with ability to travel independently and long distances across the country
Skills and Knowledge: business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered normal working hours.
