Duties and responsibilities
Support in report writing for various projects as guided by respective project leaders and researchers.
Conduct cost and benefit analysis as per guidance of respective project leaders and researchers.
Support the active communication and visibility of the programme including through social media activation, website presence and blogs for seed systems, agronomy and MEL.
Support in building and sustaining strong partnerships of various actors and institutional linkages for enhanced technology adoption.
Support in capacity building of seed and grain producers on good agricultural practices (GAPs) for improved productivity.
Support the logistical and organisational output of the programme through generation of agenda, invitations, talking points and power point preparations.
Regularly communicate status and progress made on activities assigned to respective project leaders and scientists.
Support value chain actors’ investments analysis and options.
Any other duties that will be assigned.
Requirements
Completed a Masters’ degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, or related areas. Knowledge of Geographical Information System (GIS) will be an added advantage.
Knowledge on the use of data analysis tool such as R statical software, SPSS, GenStat, and other GIS packages.
Experience of the use of digital data collection tools such as ODK, Survey CTO will be added advantage.
Excellent report writing skills, capable of producing high-quality analytical documents and organising and summarizing materials clearly for a variety of audiences.
High analytical computing skills with good knowledge of MS Office applications.
Knowledge on data management ethics.
Good communication, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team with minimal supervsion.
Good knowledge of English language and Swahili
Good knowledge of value chain development
