Job Purpose:
The key objectives of the role are to plan & Manage the end to end supply from all source units-Gum, Chocolate, Petcare and Ice cream.
This role is the main point of contact and link between the Markets requirements and the respective source units.The candidate key responsibility is to fulfil the markets short and long term demands making sure that the supply targets for each market are met. The role is managing as well all Mars end to end logistics Network & operation of the related supply lanes in line with the Logistics cost targets and frame works. The role extends beyond the daily operations to influence positively the performance & growth of the segment by continuously optimizing the pipeline parameters and the planning process in order to achieve the leanest and most cost effective pipeline possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Planning:
Based on markets requirements, calculate & submit production & deployment plans to the respective source units managing all supply systems/ERPs involved in the process in order to ensure on time fulfilment of market requirements.
Follow up with the source units on production/dispatch plans highlighting any short term and long term risks or opportunities providing mitigation plans and recommendations when required.
Confirm the feasibility of supplying the periodic distributor orders to market planners.
Manage the different supply constraints by proactive communication to the markets, provide mitigation plan if available, and taking part in the source unit’s quota management.
Apply weekly ordering process when needed with source units
Ensure the age profile of the dispatched SKUs is in line with the agreed framework.
Establish SLAs and ways of working with the source units and ensure the adherence to them.
Making sure that right supply parameter are met.
Measure and report the performance of the source units through weekly and periodically case fill.
Maintain & monitor the freshness of the finished goods in the pipeline as per the agreed frame work.
Continuous improve the supply planning process in order to achieve the leanest and most cost effective pipeline.
Logistics operation:
Manage the loading plans & containers breakdowns out of the source units/hubs as per the cost and service frame works
Work closely with the source units’ logistics teams in order to secure sailing slots as per the dispatches phasing & lead time targets.
Communicate the GIT to market planners.
Ensure timely market’s billing as per the agreed incoterms.
Ensure the required clearing documents are issued on time and right first time following the regulations of both source & destination
Manage and measure all 3PLs in the supply RTM network as per the mutually agreed SLA/contracts.
Improve continuously the performance of the logistics lanes by optimizing lead times in line with the costs guidelines
Activity management and projects:
Projects: execute the key supply projects related to the respective supply areas as per D.MEA OGSM/P.
Activities: Provide supply inputs to the different stake holders in the activity management process ensuring on time execution to the supply plans highlighting any risks/opportunities and availing required samples on time to facilitate in market registration process
Responsible for the phase in and phase out plans when required with the source units co-ordinating with the market planners and the SRA.
Business performance reporting
Measure the source unit’s case fill and report on periodic basis.
Report source unit capacity per period by line.
Report the periodic Supply constraints.
Provide Weekly reports for actuals invoicing vs. committed supply for the period.
Issue Goods In-Transits/ETA reports.
Lead times reporting & tracking (production to loading-loading to distributors arrival)
Provide visibility /forecast of the required no. of trucks/containers per period and per destination.
Issue case fill/FROT to distributors reports.
Issue Age Upon dispatch reports.
Requirements Bias & accuracy
Report documentation readiness and Right first time issuance.
Report the DFGO and working capital of Dubai hub
Owning the red to green plans for all the above KPIs.
S&OP cycle
Play a key role in the supply planning feeder meeting owning the respective supply network performance
System management
Build the required expertise in order to manage all the ERPs/systems in the related supply network which includes and not limited to Atlas/SAP.
Build the required knowledge to be the ATLAS key user.
Education & Professional Qualification:
A Supply chain professional with an Engineering, or economics degree, or Masters in a relevant field such as supply chain management, planning or business management
Certification in APICS, IBF or other supply chain specific programs also preferred
Knowledge/Experience:
4-7 years supply planning and supply chain experience
