Coverage: East/West/Southern Africa and MENA
Role Description:
Build and lead country operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia through effective implementation of the foundation’s programs mentioned above.
Drive and maximize outcomes and impact in new company creation, new job creation through entrepreneurs and job placements in the Continent.
Be the face of the Foundation; establish strong credibility, thought leadership and visible presence for the Foundation. Build a strong bonded community of beneficiaries (Startup and SME entrepreneurs, and students and professionals) and Partners (Associations, Corporates, Academic institutions, Government officials).
Recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, mentoring and training.
Develop annual budgets and detailed annual operating plan/s including monthly, quarterly or annual deliverables, outcomes and expenditures.
Develop dashboards and program performance reports, on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Maintain strong executive presence and manage business operations and roll-out across multiple geographies.

A recognized leader with proven success as an entrepreneur or a business leader having launched and scaled several business units. Has been a leader, managed business and been a head for whole of Africa.
Thinks, behaves, acts and executes like an entrepreneur: able to articulate and integrate vision, strategy and action plans; high energy; high sense of urgency; proven ability to overcome all obstacles to deliver the target mission and outcomes; ability to improvise and pivot as necessary to achieve the main mission.
Very strong customer-facing skills: previous experience in business development and/or sales/account management with both government and enterprise, ideally for tech solutions or tech-enabled services businesses; ability to evangelize and sell ideas, plans and solutions.
Very strong problem solver and program manager: able to manage multiple countries and initiatives in the detail; able to analyze and address problems in real-time; able to make decisions at high speed, based on data and rapid analysis and insights; able to overcome obstacles in execution.
Very strong talent builder: able to attract and retain top talent; able to build an effective organization and deliver results through tight management, KPI’s, teamwork, empowerment and accountability.
Extensive experience in deploying and scaling technology-based solutions with achievement and outcome orientation.
Knowledge of partnering with the governments to execute program and influence policies.
Broad networking capabilities and experience in building networks and partnerships to achieve business success.
Strong executive presence with over 20 years of work experience with strong relationship building, leadership and communication skills along with analytical skills & strategic thinking.

Must have a good SME, Strategic Consulting, Corporate and Entrepreneurial experience and good pedigree as well.
