Line Manager: HEAD OF ADMISSIONS
Overall Role Purpose:
Take direction from Head of Admissions to ensure all administrative activities related to the department are maintained, and are in line with, and support the Operational plan of the Academy. Work in collaboration with other departments and teams across the Academy to ensure a strong flow of communication and execution of the admissions mandate.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Provide administrative support and assistance to the Head of admissions in:
Planning, coordinating and executing administrative duties for the admissions department.
Planning, coordinating and executing administrative duties for the admissions department.
Inducting and supervising of admissions interns and contracted staff on the admissions process and expectations.
Handling queries and complaints via phone, email and general correspondence on admissions matters.
Managing the admissions’ mail inbox, replying, forwarding messages and making appointments as appropriate.
Spearhead the procurement of logistical preparation of admissions calendar events (Accommodation, Transport, Hotel Bookings and Planning Routes for Admissions interviews and home visits in all the 47 Counties in Kenya.
Plan and coordinate internal meeting, workshops and other functions for admissions personnel and academy staff.
Ensure that enrolment processes are implemented and subsequently followed.
Lead the coordination of all admissions process from pre- enrolment, during admissions and post admissions
Compiling, writing and editing admissions report.
Responding to Admissions related inquiries
Positively supporting at all times the Academy values, Mission and vision through the admissions mandate.
2. General Administration Duties such as:
Receiving and sorting admissions forms
Answering queries in admissions in a courteous and professional manner
Coordinating the selection process, giving guidance to staff and contracted staff.
Attend to meetings when required and be responsible for taking and distributing minutes
Person’s Specifications:
An education-related degree.
At least 3 years working experience in student admissions.
Experience in business support/administration.
Good understanding of the Kenyan education industry.
Experience in logistics planning and coordination.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office software preferred.
Previous experience working in a school on a similar capacity an added advantage.
