Our client in the Education industry in Nairobi is seeking an experienced administrative assistant to join their team.The individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism. The duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position are as listed below:
Duties and Responsibilities
Greet visitors, answer and route phone calls to serve the needs of students and faculty.
Maintains office supplies and equipment including inventory, distribution, and requisitions.
Assist with student registration, provides information for students regarding scheduling and advising and assist students in finding appropriate resources at the college.
Assist the Academics Registrar in examinations processing.
Assist the Academics Registrar in issuance and filing of student transcripts.
Ensure all marketing material at the front office is up to date and in supply.
The Administrative Assistant will demonstrate professionalism and provide quality customer service in accordance with the College’s values, maintain positive working relationships, and make decisions and solve problems.
Maintain confidentiality, positive communication, accurate records, and an organized, safe working environment.
Exhibit flexibility, willingness to learn, ability to change, and maintain current technology skills.
Willing to work on Saturdays.
Qualification and Application Requirements
Possess a Minimum of a Diploma in Communication or other related fields.
Demonstrate an excellent command of English and Swahili languages.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Previous work experience in a college environment is an added advantage.
