Actuarial Analyst

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to research work within the assigned Line of Business;
Conduct data cleaning, validation & management for various projects;
Conduct actuarial valuations, reserving and product development and pricing;
Preparation of recommendations based on analysis and modeling results;
Assist in project management for ongoing client assignments;
Assist in client communication, engagement and management;
Contribute to large parts of client reports, presentations and and thought leadership pieces;
Guide assistants on the the job;
Provide support in business development activities;
Participate in cross-departmental team activities to support organizational needs as may be required.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science;
Relevant experience in a similar role;
Good progress with professional actuarial exams- at least 3 actuarial exams passed;
Good knowledge of regional financial regulatory requirements;
Strong communication skills (oral and written skills);
Displays high motivation, team-orientation, adaptability, initiative, self drive and ownership of work;
Advanced IT, data management and modeling skills; proficiency in R and/or Python would be an advantage;
