We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Accounts/ Business Development intern
JOB PURPOSE:
The primary component of this role is to assist the Accounts department and manage Social media pages and other marketing channels
Key competencies
Accounts
Generating sales invoices, sales order and credit notes
Doing cheques and cash lodgments
Attending to customers queries
Filing duties
Preparing and submitting statutory deductions (P.A.Y.E, NHIF, NSSF, NITA) • Monthly Payroll processing
Processing of Monthly Management accounts
Generating electronic tax register (ETR)
Petty cash Management and bank reconciliations
Preparing customer statements
Any other duty which might be assigned from time to time
Business Development
Assist in managing all social media pages
Using the company’s social media platforms to source for new clients and get new businesses
Generate leads and call prospective customers
Assist in planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Assist in increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in management science, Finance or any other business related course
Experience in accounts, sales & marketing or related
Strong communication skills and IT
Be active in use of social media platforms
Excellent organizational skills
Be able to meet deadlines
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle tasks with strict deadlines
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook,
Comfortable using a computer for various tasks
