Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of quality Body, Haircare, and Baby care products with their headquarters in Uganda. As part of their strategy to strengthen the organization’s capabilities, they are seeking to fill the following position.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The key responsibilities for this position are:
Manage the processes for budgeting, accounting, cash flow management, and administrative operations of the business to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient reporting, audit, and compliance.
Custodian of all key financial, accounting, secretarial, fiduciary, and risk-mitigating responsibilities.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain completeness, timeliness, accuracy, and adequacy of financial management reporting provided to the Head office.
Perform weekly and monthly bank, inventory, reconciliations, and report to management any anomaly observed.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, receipting, and reconciliation of all revenues/payments for the company.
Prepare and file all statutory taxes (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, VAT, and Income tax)
Prepare annual budget for the Kenya subsidiary in consultation with the GM and Group Office. Monitor expenditure and ensure that budget overruns do not occur and prepare requests for possible amendments.
Initiate all payments and manage all stock movements (both physical and in the system).
Adhere and align finance processes and transactions to the Finance Manual.
Maintain and be the custodian of all financial documents and files.
EDUCATION AND COLLATERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Finance / Accounting and ACCA or CPA qualification. Member of ICPAK.
At least two years of relevant professional experience in FMCG environment with demonstrable achievements in book-keeping, reporting, audit and compliance.
Experience with (SAP and ERP) accounting systems and outstanding presentation skills.
Self-starter. Meets tight deadlines and exhibits a high degree of flexibility and versatility.
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, presentation, communication and organizational skills with a demonstrable level of integrity and confidentiality.
