Your Role:
As an account manager you will manage and develop the relationships with customers within own portfolio to promote sales and maintain growth targets. You will also research client business requirements in own portfolio and develop a strategy to drive sales and effectively service customers based on their specific needs and opportunities identified.
Your responsibilities will be to identify business opportunities at new and existing clients and to effectively up-sell and cross-sell accordingly. To conduct regular visits to customers and implement the call plan as strategically identified in order to promote sales and maintain good relationships. To communicate customer queries/issues to Sales Support as identified during customer visits and to follow up with the customer and Sales Support to ensure resolution and that high service standards are maintained.
You will also ensure that the monthly call schedule and weekly planner as well as the SFDC customer appointments journals are captured and updated in the SFDC data base to facilitate planning and inform decision making.
You will capture all leads and Opportunities in SFDC to inform colleagues and to capitalize on Opportunities and reduce risks to the business. These Opportunities must be maintained, regularly updated and closed out whether they are won or lost.
Adding to that capture and maintain the Seedings and Wins in SFDC as defined by the marketing plan, to ensure the Seedings and Wins are regularly updated and closed out whether they are won or lost.
You will also implement and roll out the Marketing Plans and focus topics as defined by the marketing teams as detailed in cycle meetings.
Who you are:

BSC In Science related field-Bioscience background.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales environment preferably as an Account Manager.
Knowledge and experience in at least one but preferably more of the industries in within Eastern Africa countries especially Kenya, namely Academia Research & Pathology, Pharmaceutical & Food and Beverage.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Effective verbal & written communication
Ability to close sales and generate leads
Strong technical and analytical ability for interpreting technical information and good attention to details
