    Job Summary:
    As the Electric Mobility Coordinator, you will be able to provide administrative, project coordination, and research support to ongoing sustainable transport programs, focusing on projects that advance electric mobility in Kenya and the East Africa region. Your responsibilities will range from organization of events, workshops, staff visits, and external meetings, as well as research or project support as needed and as time permits. You will support project team in creation of content for publications, reports, briefs, blogs, presentations, tools, and other knowledge products that contribute to WRI Africa’s sustainable mobility programs, including electric mobility. You will have the opportunity to partner with and learn from sustainable mobility and electric mobility experts, and key stakeholders around the world.
    Job Responsibilities:
    Project coordination

    Help organize and attend internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities related to electric mobility
    Coordinate with WRI Global Electric Mobility team, WRI Kenya Energy team and other electric mobility projects across WRI’s regional offices, as required for project activities and knowledge sharing

    Research

    Conduct and coordinate research and analysis related to electric mobility, including coordinating research efforts among stakeholders and analyzing existing e-mobility research in the region
    Develop strategies for, and manage data collection related to electric mobility and sustainable mobility in East Africa
    Develop communications to share research with a diverse range of stakeholders

    Administration

    Assist WRI Africa Cities team members with e-mobility project development including project workplans, budgets and project monitoring and evaluation activities

    Job Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in a field related to electric mobility, including transportation planning, civil/electrical engineering, or urban/regional planning
    Minimum of 1 year of full-time professional work experience
    Demonstrable previous experience or research and enthusiasm regarding sustainable urban mobility, and previous experience in electric mobility projects or research is highly desirable
    Understanding of institutions and government agencies in Kenya and the larger African region. Local and/or regional experience is highly desirable
    Fluency in written and spoken English is required and fluency in Swahili or other local dialects is desirable
    An East African National is preferred, although all qualified candidates will be considered
    Demonstrated ability to work well in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, juggle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
    Comfortable working remotely until such time when WRI opens the Nairobi office
    Experience or demonstrated interest in event planning and external outreach
    Detail-oriented, organized and independent thinker
    Clear and effective written and oral communication skills

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for managing and representing department initiatives, priorities, and goals between three country offices, and WR headquarters HR office. The position formulates partnerships across HR offices and regional institutions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the objectives of the HRDU within the international programs division. The HRBP maintains a current understanding of shifting country labor laws, and adjusts practices and documentation accordingly, as well as identifying country-specific training needs for national staff, including training required for grant compliance. This role will assist in developing and promoting new and updated country office HR manuals and policies. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for staff within the department.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation and adapts policies for local context.
    Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
    Understands insurance policies for different staff tiers, i.e. expatriates, nationals, etc.
    Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
    Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
    Identifies training needs for country offices, including growth and development training for national staff, leading the yearly compliance with training and other requirements related to Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (PSEA).
    Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

    Implemented by World Relief in Haiti, Kenya, Malawi and South Sudan, the USAID funded SCOPE project seeks to use and improve existing private and public health systems, working with health service providers to co-train community health actors and strengthen policies to improve access to services. SCOPE increases demand for services by training mothers and caretakers on preventative health measures and health seeking behavior change. SCOPE provides this training through some of the most trusted voices in the community: religious leaders and neighbors and will improve advocacy efforts at various levels of the Ministry of Health through strong local partners — churches, religious networks, and Christian Health Associations. These local partners are essential for SCOPE’s collaboration, learning, and long-term sustainability.
    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The SCOPE Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation of all project activities. In that role she or he will be responsible for the successful oversight and management of all in country staffing, operations, execution and reporting of SCOPE. The Project Manager will supervise the Project M&E Officer and Field Supervisors. The Project Manager will have significant collaboration with World Relief Baltimore Office central SCOPE Staff, specifically Chief of Party. She or he will participate in nurturing collaborative relationships with the Ministry of Health, local NGO partners and other project stakeholders.

    Minimum of (5) years post training relevant mix of professional work experience on reproductive, maternal new born and child health programming with proven experience implementing facility based maternal and child heath interventions through a health system strengthening approach.
    Must be computer literate and show proficiency in report writing skills.
    Relevant grant management experience, especially for USAID strongly preferred.
    Partnership capacity strengthening and partnership relation management experience preferred.
    Experience working with stakeholders at various levels and strengthening community partnerships.
    Experience with human subject protection.

    General Administration

    Communication/IT
    Supervise the network administrator to ensure smooth functioning of network communications, v-sat connectivity, email services, help desk response, pc/printer troubleshooting and telecommunications systems.
    Ensure that the information management systems and processes meet the needs of the country programs, regional office, and WR HO.
    Coordinate communications for the country program. Periodically evaluate communication needs to ensure timely & relevant communication with all staff.
    Compile minutes of the Leadership Team and disseminate to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
    Personal assistant to the Kenya Country Director. Participate in morning briefings, schedule appointments, handle correspondence, special projects, and other duties as delegated.
    Supervise the office interns, reception function, cleaning staff and office assistants Responsible for facilities to ensure they are operational, safe & that public spaces reflect good stewardship.
    Primary contact with Landlord concerning all matters pertaining to facilities maintenance & upkeep.

    Requirements for the Administrative Manager Job
    Relevant University degree
