    Position Summary
    This key member of the Global People Operations team will be responsible for providing the full spectrum of People Operations (HR) services managing a variety of processes, programs and practices, including: employee onboarding, shared services, compensation, immigration, payroll, benefits, and compliance for 150 talented employees across the United States and global locations of hire (Americas, Africa, APAC, Europe and the Middle East). 
    Manager, Global People Operations is a highly visible, employee facing role for a candidate that thrives on collaboration; comfortable with managing various work-streams simultaneously, excellent attention to detail and someone with an analytical orientation.     This dynamic role is part of Teach For All’s Human Resources team (called Global People Operations) reporting to the Head Of Global People Operations, and working in close collaboration with a diverse team of three. 
     
    Key Responsibilities

    Execute on the compensation strategy for the organization by project managing the evolution of the current system (with support from internal stakeholders) including: compensation design, benchmarking compensation ranges, and experience utilizing online Compensation Management software. 
    Collaborates with the people operations and talent acquisitions teams, and hiring managers to make compensation recommendations for job postings, promotions, and relocations/moves. 
    As a trusted advisor to employees and managers across the global organization, supports the Head Of People Operations with sensitive employment and employee relations matters with a hands-on, positive approach towards mitigation and resolution. 
    Develops employee communications and messaging across all forums (drafting/editing team specific messaging, developing internal facing content, presentations and research)
    Supports the Head Of People Operations with development of best-in-class practices and policies that are aligned with the organizations DEIB values.
    The ideal candidate will be expert in:

    a) US payroll (multi-state jurisdiction; end-to-end processing) and benefits management with thorough understanding of US labor laws; OR 
    b) expert in global multi country payroll, compliance and benefits management working with professional employer organizations (PEO’s or EOR’s) 

    Provides functional and technical expertise related to payroll and benefit processing.
    Accurately tracks, processes and administers all payroll activities such as salaries, statutory deductions, retroactive payments, severance, off-cycle payrolls, manual checks, shadow payrolls, taxable and non-taxable benefits and all other special compensation matters.
    Supports the team with onboarding, new hire setup/exits in the payroll system, HRIS and various internal trackers and systems.
    Analyzes payroll discrepancies and works with employees in resolving payroll related issues in a swift, responsive manner.
    Critically reviews and evaluates people operations processes and procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations and regulatory compliance.
    Responds to employee inquiries with a sense of urgency, in a kind and empathetic manner, ensuring that staff member’s needs and concerns are addressed.
    Supports the team with immigration matters (support materials for visa applications, coordinating with Teach For All’s immigration attorneys, managing Teach For All’s e-verify program).
    Supports the team with compliance processes across the US, UK and global locations of hire including but not limited to: discrimination testing, various audits, P11D, P60, W2, 1095C’s etc.

    Education & Experience

    We seek someone who has experience and enthusiasm for taking full responsibility and ownership of the job responsibilities listed above; 
    6 – 10 years of proven professional experience in an equivalent role within HR, Finance and/or People Operations; 
    Demonstrated knowledge and experience with United States local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations and benefits administration, OR in experience working with global payroll administration such as PEO’s, local employers of record and expat payroll linked processes is a must; 
    Experience within the non-profit sector is also preferred

    Position Summary
    Teach For All’s Global Grantmaking team is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Manager, Global Grantmaking Programs. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical, strategic thinking, relationship-building and project management skills, who gets energy from operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving and dynamic environment. 
    This role is responsible for: 

    Providing data analyses to support decision-making and learning for the Global Grantmaking team and other internal teams
    Collaborating with programmatic, grant compliance, and fundraising staff to develop grantee-centered application and reporting processes and templates that meet Teach For All’s needs 
    Managing the full grant process with grantees, including but not limited to managing internal workflows, sharing application forms and feedback, and compiling reports and communicating related feedback – always engaging with grantees in ways that deepen relationships and foster trust and learning
    Working with the Director, Global Grantmaking Programs and grant compliance staff to support programmatic staff to thoughtfully, consistently and equitably review applications and report materials from grantees

    This individual will join a two-person team that works in close partnership with the Grant Compliance/Finance team, as well as Teach For All’s programmatic and fundraising staff, to manage about USD $10 million annually in grants to 50+ organizations around the world. Teach For All is a global network of over 50 independent, locally led and governed partner organizations and a global organization that works to accelerate the progress of the network. Our grantees are our partner organizations, who are developing leadership in classrooms and communities to ensure all children can fulfill their potential.
     
    Outcomes

    Teach For All staff have access to timely, accurate and complete data about our grantmaking programs, so that we can understand our progress, make informed decisions, shift actions to apply learnings (e.g. programmatic support to grantees), and share information within our staff, network and with external stakeholders
    Grantees receive relevant, consistent and equitable reviews of their application and reporting materials
    Grantees feel our grantmaking processes and communications strengthen the relationship between Teach For All and grantees, and foster trust and bi-directional learning
    Through grantee proposals and reports, Teach For All develops enduring and deep relationships with the donors who make our grantmaking programs, and manages grants in alignment with donor intent and regulations around international grantmaking

    Responsibilities
    Data Analysis & Reporting (40%)

    Manage systems and update cycles for programmatic data related to our grantmaking programs, including engaging with programmatic, fundraising, and finance teams on projections
    Work closely with Teach For All’s data team to ensure we have accurate and relevant data to understand the impact of our grantmaking programs, have a regular cadence for reflection on this data, and are syncing/ensuring consistency in data received from grantees and Teach For All’s other data systems
    Develop and maintain systems to enable us to identify trends in the information we’re receiving from partners as part of our grantmaking programs
    Write and disseminate analyses that foster learning for our grantmaking programs, as well as support the work of other Teach For All teams
    Prepare reports and presentations on giving history, projections, and trends on the organization’s grantmaking for internal and external audience

    Implementation of Subgrant Processes with Partners (30%)

    Coordinate grantmaking processes for grantees and Teach For All staff, providing end to end support and guidance from the internal planning phase to reporting and grant close-out
    Update centralized grantmaking systems to enable streamlined coordination across multiple internal teams and hundreds of grants
    Engage with Teach For All staff to create and execute application and reporting templates and processes that meet programmatic, fundraising, and compliance needs, apply international grantmaking best practices, and ensure an experience for grantees that strengthens our relationship (taking their perspective and operating environment into consideration) 
    Periodically host kick-off calls with Teach For All fundraising staff and grantees on complex partnerships
    Review grantee applications and reports for completeness and against Teach For All data systems; collect missing requirements
    Provide reviewers with access to applications and reports, as well as relevant context
    Document and track application and report review notes and/or ratings
    Document and communicate feedback and decisions to grantees
    Communicate grantee activity to internal and external stakeholders
    Troubleshoot and track grant challenges

     
    Grantmaking Learning Circle (25%)

    Launch and lead an organization-wide learning circle to do initial reviews of applications and reports from grantees 
    Manage the onboarding and ongoing support to members of the learning circle to ensure thoughtful, consistent and equitable reviews
    Develop and execute process and calendar for timely and consistent reviews of grantee materials, including efficient ways to gather information for the data analyses

    Grantmaking Operations (5%)

    Manage tools, analyses and regular meetings with Teach For All’s Corporate Fundraising Team
    Lead documentation management systems related to subgrants

     
    Requirements

    Minimum of four years of full-time work experience, preferably with some exposure to grantmaking 
    Proven track record of creating and managing self and others against complex project plans, preferably in cross-cultural environments with multiple stakeholders and fast-moving timelines
    Strong data analysis and visualization skills, including connecting data across multiple resources to surface trends, questions and learnings, and communicating those findings effectively to diverse audiences
    Experience in advanced Excel analysis and modeling
    Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Foundation Connect (or other grant management platform) a plus
    Experience with a Teach For All network partner a plus but not required
    Fluency in English required; Proficiency in Arabic a plus but not required

    Teach For All is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to support a diverse group of prospective partners across francophone Africa. As a Network Engagement Director, you will steward Teach For All’s engagement with the region’s partner CEOs and prospective CEOs, working to build and deepen relationships and collaborations across the region. You will serve as an overall strategic resource to these organizations, diagnosing their needs, and marshaling network resources to meet them. The right candidate will have a proven ability to work effectively across different country contexts and cultures, navigating ambiguity with ease, and will have experience making sound strategic decisions that drive impact in complex and changing environments. This individual is required to have deep familiarity living and working across diverse national contexts in the region, and must be authorized to work within the region.     Roles and Responsibilities
    Supporting current and prospective partners 80%:

    The Director of Global Corporate Partnerships will play a key role in enabling us to raise significant resources from corporations – accounting for about 20% of Teach For All’s overall revenue needs. The Director will report to the Head of Corporate Partnerships working closely with her and Teach For All’s Head of Global Development and Teach For All’s CEO to execute on the corporate fundraising strategy. He/she will help build and cultivate an engaged community of global companies who understand the nature of educational inequity in countries around the world and believe in Teach For All’s potential to expand educational opportunities for children in high-need communities. Through this, the Director will work to secure financial commitments from global companies in order to provide the resources needed to fuel Teach For All’s global effort.
    Outcomes
    The Director, Global Corporate Partnerships will mobilize a community of corporate supporters for Teach For All’s efforts, helping to raise at least $4 million in FY19 and:
    Own and manage a robust portfolio of individual donors by creating and executing strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new donor
    Play a significant role in contributing to Teach For All’s overall fundraising goals and help raise funding for network partners

    Requirements

    Regional Strategy: Setting Vision & Orienting Regional Team Execution (70%)
    In collaboration with the Africa regional team and partner CEOs, establish, evolve, and drive execution of a regional strategy and priorities for support to current and prospective network partners.
    Act as the primary senior relationship holder with all current and prospective regional CEOs, and build positive, long-term relationships as a means to achieving our shared vision and core purpose.
    Build capacity of current and prospective partner organizations and enhance their strategic clarity through providing direct support and thought partnership as well as strategically leveraging support from regional and global specialists.
    Facilitate connections, learning, and leadership development experiences for and among current and prospective partner CEOs within the region and more broadly across the network by strategically making decisions about how to best employ network resources and foster connections that drive impact.
    In collaboration with partner CEOs & relevant external affairs colleagues, establish, evolve, and manage vision and execution of an external affairs strategy that fosters a strong regional ecosystem and assesses and acts on opportunities for fundraising, public sector and multilateral support, programmatic partnerships, and other potential champions both on the continent and abroad. This includes:
    In partnership with the region’s partner CEOs and Teach For All’s Global Special Projects Lead, secure financial resources for Teach For All’s Africa Fund (a multi-million dollar initiative that aims to raise revenue from global funding sources to supplement local revenue that partners are raising across the continent to fuel their operations) as well as for Teach For All’s support of those partners
    Work in partnership with Teach For All’s Government and Multilateral Partnerships team and network partners to develop and execute a strategy for building multilateral support for the work of Teach For All and partners in Africa
    Represent Teach For All externally as appropriate, and engage a wide set of stakeholders (including network CEOs, Global Advisory Council members, Board members, and current/prospective funders) to further develop the network’s presence and elicit support for our work in the region.
