    Key Responsibilities
    Implementing the Sales and Marketing Strategy 

    You are responsible for implementing the sales strategy set the month on month.
    Grow sales volume through critically analyzing sales performance and preparing periodic sales reports 
    Help the Head of Sales think through new markets for expansion and grow existing markets. 
    Maintain an ‘ownership mentality of the sales team by ensuring responsible spending habits by the sales team by vetting and querying all receipts issued for reimbursement.

    Team Management and Leadership

    Monitor career growth and development of the sales team by encouraging internal promotion, mentorship, and coaching of the team members.
    Diagnose core performance challenges through data analytics and provide timely solutions to problems.
    Analyze Regional Sales Managers and Sales Team Leads’ ability to recognize success and give it freely to those excelling in their teams, as well as diagnose and support team members who care.

    Collaboration. 

    Be on the ground to monitor field activity, agents onboarding in order to identify training gaps and ensure the field team undergoes appropriate training that equips them with relevant skills required to undertake their day-to-day duties.
    Liaise with the HR team to ensure recruitment of top talent in the market and retention of the talent by having incentive structures that boost morale and increase productivity.
    Support the marketing manager and ensure all marketing initiatives are aligned towards driving sales and lead generation.
    Collaborate with all teams in order to understand timelines around new product launches hence making it easier to tailor unique selling strategies for the products.
    Work with all relevant teams in order to get relevant data and information, translating it into actionable strategies that drive sales and lead to the achievement of set sales targets. 
    Provide periodic reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and future expansion plans.

    Job Requirements

    5-7years’ experience in sales in the off-grid sector.
    At least 3 years experience in a  leadership position in sales.
    Work experience in startups and have built a sales team from scratch, with experience leading sales functions with multiple sales channels.
    Proven to be a self-starter who works well with autonomy and can ask for help without hesitation.
    Willing to recognize and own mistakes in order to reflect, learn, and continually develop as a leader.

    Manage the expansion of the Company’s PAYGrow customer finance offering

     Credit Risk Management

    Coordinate all external projects/audits relating to the PAYGrow offering and ensure recommendations are implemented
    Develop and test strategies to improve PAYGrow performance through rewards/penalties and other opportunities to end-users.
    Regularly review and enhance the credit policy in place in order to ensure it reflects the best practice in the market and regulates the risk exposure towards the company.
    Develop and enhance the credit reporting & monitoring framework which meets the requirements of various external & internal stakeholders. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Credit Risk reports. Interpret the information and suggest actions for consideration by Senior  Management
    Undertake responsibilities pertaining to credit risk committee and include preparation of the information pack and responding to data/ analytical requests from different stakeholders for decision making.
    Take full accountability for the repossessions strategy formulation and execution 

    Team Management

    Build, inform and act as an ambassador for the organization’s culture
    Scale team’s ability to manage the credit systems and processes (ie. origination, lending, debt collection, and repossession) with support from the Kenya GM
    Manage the performance of the credit team in line with agreed KPIs
    Identify and develop the training required to contribute to the professional growth of the team

    Job Requirements

    Degree in Finance, Microfinance, Economics, Credit Management or any other related field
    3 to 5 years experience in the rapid growth environment (i.e. building new integrated systems in collaboration with other teams)
    Consumer finance and credit risk experience (particularly in the PAYGrow segment) and assessing complex data sets to optimize credit performance
    End-user asset financing experience in developing countries; experience financing farmers or solar power for low-income consumers will be an advantage
    Ability to represent the credit function at the C-Suite and Board level, with the ability to communicate complex messages to a wide variety of audiences
    Experience with building and managing operational credit teams
    Proficient in financial modeling and comfort with in-depth data analysis

    Prototype and assemble (hand solder) electronic equipment
