    Summary of Role:  
    This position plays a critical role in the diversification of Pathfinder’s funding by developing and executing direct marketing strategies for sustainable growth across several Pathfinder donor categories with a focus on email marketing. Ensuring that Pathfinder maintains – and grows – a robust base of individual support will better position the organization to meet its mission.
    This role will partner with Individual Giving and Communications colleagues to analyze, test and deploy strategies that connect with and market to Pathfinder’s constituent audience and align external fundraising messaging to support organizational communication priorities. This role will manage our EveryAction digital communication and fundraising platform to ensure effective data collection and create a positive donor experience.
    Key Responsibilities:
    Fundraising: 

    Project management and fiscal year strategic planning for Pathfinder’s Direct Marketing program and management of communications calendar for all email and text communications.
    Oversee planning, creation, and deployment of donor-facing digital assets including online donation forms, email campaigns, and SMS communications including stewardship, cultivation, and reporting.
    Support Director of Annual Giving to manage Pathfinder’s monthly giving and mid-level giving programs, including stewardship, cultivation, and reporting.
    Oversee planning, creation, and deployment of Pathfinder’s SMS program including platform/interface management, content creation, copywriting and editing, deployment, and reporting.
    Identify opportunities for workplace giving for Pathfinder’s donors.

    Marketing Strategy:

    Ensure multi-channel communications by aligning messaging across platforms (SMS, email, direct mail, paid advertising, website, traditional media, and social media) based on industry best practices.
    Work closely with the digital communications and marketing team to support Pathfinder’s marketing strategy and the organization’s messaging and brand voice.
    Regularly analyze key metrics to determine success and craft and/or adapt strategies to implement learnings.

    Operational:

    Provide real-time reporting on various program elements for distribution to key stakeholders.
    Maintain robust knowledge of Pathfinder programs to identify compelling content for solicitation and stewardship materials.
    Serve as point of contact for relevant vendors.
    Assist in management of CRMs alongside data processing team, ensuring the cleanliness of data and synergy across platforms.
    Proactively make strategy recommendations to promote organizational efficiency and efficacy, identifying best practices and replicable models for programmatic learnings
    Ensures activities are compliant with organizational and external donor policies and guidelines.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or nonprofit management, or related field, or a combination of education and experience that yields the minimally required competencies.
    6 years’ work experience in fundraising, philanthropy, marketing, or communications.
    Proven ability to conduct data and trend analysis.
    Advanced knowledge of donor management and prospect tracking software
    Proven ability to stay abreast of current issues and emerging strategic issues in global philanthropy and funding trends.
    Intermediate knowledge of family planning and reproductive health principles, practices, and services, including program strategies and indicators.
    Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills. Ability to improve processes, promote excellence, and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

    Preferred Competence and Work Experience:

    Experience with EveryAction and Raiser’s Edge
    Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, MS Teams
    Experience in family planning, reproductive health, and international health
    Experience raising funds for international programs.
    Language skills in French, Arabic, Portuguese, or African languages
    Experience living, studying, or working in a Pathfinder country.

    Summary of Role:  
    Pathfinder International is seeking a Global Compliance Manager to support the Global Compliance Unit in activities that involve ensuring that the organization stays updated and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Key responsibilities include assistance in developing and implementing compliance programs, monitoring, and enforcing compliance, staying updated on relevant laws and regulations, fostering a culture of compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.     Key Responsibilities:
    Global Compliance Program Implementation: 

    Works closely with the Global Internal Audit & Compliance function in the implementation of the Pathfinder compliance program, including policy review, assistance with compliance training, deployment of compliance communications and reporting, and integration of compliance into other Pathfinder processes.
    Assist Country Local Compliance Officers with the planning, implementation and reporting of the compliance program activities.
    Supports in the development, rollout, and training of new or updated policies. Keep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and international standards.

    Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

    Supports Global Compliance function, and other stakeholders on risk identification and in the maintenance of the Global risk dashboard.

    Process and Tools Continuous Improvement:

    Assists with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures in a continuous effort to improve and harmonize country office financial reporting and compliance.

    Compliance Program Execution:

    Facilitates identification of issues and resolutions to mitigate risks.

    Compliance training: Develop and deliver compliance-related training to Pathfinder International personnel at all levels.
    Compliance Issues: Ensures Country Offices are aware of appropriate channels for reporting compliance issues and coordinates with the Compliance Team to ensure appropriate tracking and monitoring of compliance issues.
    Compliance Assurance. Supports key compliance assurance including deployment of effective and efficient mechanisms to prevent, detect, identify, and correct noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations, donor requirements, and Pathfinder policies and standards. Understanding of internal control frameworks and professional internal investigation practices.
    Internal Investigation Initiatives: As appropriate, supports in the internal investigations with relevant subject matter experts in other business units.
    Reporting: Prepare regular reports on compliance activities and present them to the Global Sr Director Internal Audit & Compliance.

    Participation and Support:

    Project Management and Participation: Participates in cross-functional global team meetings when required, within the Compliance unit.
    CO support: Follow up on identified observations within Internal/External audits and provide training/Guidance to implement corrective actions to close observations.
    Training: Provide training to CO staff based on weakness points identified during Internal Audit

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Finance, Audit, or related disciplines
    Related professional certifications are an advantage.
    Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and COSO internal control framework
    10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, finance, audit or program management, including experience developing compliance programs.
    At least 5 years international non-profit experience, including experience with grants and contracts funded by USAID, Global Fund, and other donors.

    Resource Mobilization:

    Build a pipeline of Kenyan-based donors and pursue fundraising/revenue sources across government, corporate, foundation, individual, and other donors.

    Summary:
    Supports Pathfinder’s global annual budgeting process and forecasting, prepares and distributes financial reports to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, and analyzes monthly financial results for variances.     Key Performance Areas:
    Budget Support:

    Monthly Spending Review, Analysis and Reports: Monitors and analyzes the organization’s monthly spending performance against budget and conducts ongoing meetings with necessary staff to review results. Highlights, tracks and reports unforeseen spending patterns and considerable deviations from operating budget. Coordinates with departments and country offices regarding financial questions, issues and resolution. Prepares trend analysis reports, tracking expenditures by category, function, and country.
    Annual Budget Planning and Forecasting: Supports in the compilation, review and maintenance of the annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts. Partner with global cost center managers and country offices in developing their budget and forecasts. Manages data in the budget and forecasting software, Adaptive Planning. Coordinates budget trainings for any new budget owner staff.

    Finance Support:

    Prepares and updates monthly financial reporting packages for key stakeholders. Assists with the development and monthly updating of financial dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. Creates ad-hoc reports based on external requests. Assists with creating financial presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
    Manage incoming operating spending requests from submission to approval and monitor spending against approved requests. Support external audits by providing assistance with preparing required reports and responses to auditors.

    Global Compliance Specialist

    Summary: 
    Assists in the operationalization and implementation of Pathfinder’s organizational compliance program. Coordinates program events and supports implementation of compliance initiatives. Provides ongoing technical and customer support for web-based compliance applications. Compiles, edits, designs, and publishes compliance content for internal audiences. Manages internal webpages and maintains Legal and Compliance databases and records. Assists in the preparation of charts and reports. Coordinates with global Compliance Team, Local Compliance Officers, and other internal stakeholders. Support Legal and Compliance teams as needed on administrative items such as invoice processing and meeting scheduling.
    Key Job Outcomes:

    Operation Coordination: Coordinate compliance program events such as global trainings, monthly team meetings, and other working groups. Supports implementation of compliance initiatives, including by drafting internal communications and tracking participation in global trainings. Provide technical and customer support for internal web-based tools, such as conflicts of interest application, gift tracker app, risk register, and iShare (intranet) resources.

Facilitate procurement of local legal counsel for Pathfinder country offices.

    Required Education, Training and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree required and minimum 3 years of experience
    2 years of experience in communications, compliance, legal, program management, or related field
