    Summary of Role:  

    The Global Internal Communications Manager plays a crucial role in aligning global initiatives with internal communications, working closely with President’s Offices, Country Offices and Global service teams. This position is responsible for creating and executing communication plans for major initiatives, supporting Pathfinder’s transformative journey. In collaboration with the Senior Advisor, Global Services, the Manager ensures seamless integration of communication efforts during key transitions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Internal Communication Channel Management: 

    Serve as the point person for communication guidance.
    Collaborate with countries and cross-functional teams to source content for internal communication channels.
    Tailor content for various channels, intranet, email, newsletters, Global Town Hall, etc.
    Manage and utilize Global Town Hall, weekly newsletters, and other channels to disseminate key messages and updates.
    Create and disseminate internal communication products for consistent messaging aligned with organizational objectives.
    Maintain, update and improve assigned intranet sites and pages.

    Communication Strategy Implementation:

    Lead the development and execution of a strategic internal communication plan in collaboration with key stakeholders.
    Assist in identifying key messages, themes, and priorities for effective communication of the President’s and senior leadership’s vision and initiatives.
    Draft internal announcements, updates, and messages to the organization.
    Provides executive communications counsel to senior leadership to help leaders communicate key decisions, and keep staff engaged and informed.

    Change Management Communication:

    Assist in communicating updates and achievements related to change management initiatives, collaborating with the Senior Advisor, Global Services.
    Drive awareness and understanding of change initiatives through multiple communication channels (intranet, email, e-newsletters, announcements, Global Town Halls) and through collaboration with Country-led focal points.

    Employee Engagement Initiatives:

    Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture.
    Assist in coordinating events led by the Presidents to engage and connect with employees.
    Implement communication strategies that enhance employee awareness and support for organizational goals.
    Manage translation and Interpretation policy, systems, and processes to ensure all employees can be engaged.

    Measurement and Analysis:

    Contribute to establishing feedback mechanisms to gauge employee understanding and engagement with initiatives.
    Establish, collect, and analyze metrics related to employee engagement surveys, feedback mechanisms, and communication channel analytics.
    Analyze data and feedback to make informed decisions and adjustments to communication plans as needed.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in literature, Psychology, Language Arts, or a related field.
    At least seven (7) years of previous professional experience in a similar position, demonstrating strong project management and execution skills, event planning skills.
    Use of various design tools and media platforms, and advanced editing and persuasive writing skills. Or equivalent proven leadership and education in communications.
    Exceptional business-writing skills, critical thinking, creativity, and flexibility.
    Highly sophisticated in delivering sensitive messages in a culturally appropriate manner to help build understanding and empathy in the organization.
    Experience in the diversity/cultural competency field and lived multicultural experience preferred.
    Experience providing communications counsel to senior executives.

    Summary of Role:  

    Leads cost proposals and manages all the financial aspects of an award. Provide financial consulting and strategic support to leadership and Presidents of Asia and Africa. Analyzes figures and implements recommendations based on these findings. Provide financial support to country offices and project staff regarding management of financial, budgetary, and reporting issues. Review and process all cash requests and manage cashflow for all our country offices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Award Administration: 

    Monitors key financial indicators and project spending for Pathfinder awards.
    Prepares and reviews donor required invoices and financial reports in accordance with award terms and conditions.
    Oversees the maintenance of award data in Pathfinder’s award management system.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    Summary of Role:  

    The incumbent will provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of Climate Change and Health programs and projects. As the Technical Advisor for Climate Change and Health in the African Region, you will play a pivotal role in supporting country teams to develop and implement impactful Climate Change and Health programs and projects.     Programming Design and Implementation:

    Supports country teams and partners in the design, development, and implementation of innovative, effective, country appropriate programming for climate change and health resilience.
    As needed, participates in regional and support country-level advocacy efforts of Pathfinder for improving family planning, adolescent and youth, maternal and child health indicators in the context of climate change programming

    Technical Assistance:

    Provides technical assistance to country offices, national governments, local partners, and other agencies to assess needs and develop Climate and Health Resilience standards and guidance, and/or provide services that are responsive to the needs of intended populations.

    Technical Support for Proposals:

    Provides technical support on the development of proposals, including including participation in strategizing for technical approach, proposal writing and proposal review.
    Works with country teams to integrate Resilience activities in new proposals. Develop compelling project proposals and concept notes to secure funding for Climate and Health initiatives.

    Quality Assurance:

    Works with the technical team to ensure that best practices for services and service integration are well documented, evaluated and poised for scale up.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    Master’s degree in public health, social science, climate and environment or related discipline
    Minimum 5 years’ experience in working in international development, preferably in implementing programs in one or more countries seeking to empower women, adolescents and children and improve equitable access to quality health services.

    Summary of Role:  

    The Senior Technical Writer leads the process of writing technical materials that analyze, articulate, and support business development, as well as organizational learning and dissemination of Pathfinder’s implementation experience, technical strategies, and impact. They will contribute as a leader in the organization by identifying and responding to strategic opportunities to enhance technical visibility and provide writing support to proposals to a wide variety of donors. This position will primarily focus on support to Francophone countries, including conducting meetings in French and translating key documents, as needed.  However, given the global nature of the role, this role will support across Pathfinder’s portfolio of countries, as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Technical publication development: 

    In partnership with relevant content owners, develops, writes, edits, coordinates, and disseminates technical publications, including technical briefs, learning briefs, case studies, and peer-reviewed journal articles. These documents aim to share programmatic experiences and evidence, formulate implementation lessons and recommendations, support business development, and position Pathfinder as a thought leader in SRHR.
    Works closely with the team to support the dissemination of technical publications.

    Proposal writing:

    Collaborates with the Business Development and Country teams to develop and write sound technical responses to donor requests for proposals/applications.
    Develops, writes, and edits Pathfinder proposals, demonstrating Pathfinder voice and style and technical familiarity with Pathfinder strategies and approaches.

    Summary of Role:  
    Serves as the primary support for the finance functions of Pathfinder country offices.     Key Responsibilities:
    Monitoring, Tracking and Reporting: 

    Tracks key indicators and the processing monthly country office reporting, including the receipt, review, recording, reconciliation, and consolidation of all income, expenses, and balance sheet items.
    Analyzes monthly project spending performance for accuracy, allowability, availability of project funds, adequate supporting documentation, and proper authorization and provides recommendations for adjustments.
    Monitors all matters that may affect the financial integrity of Pathfinder programs or the organization and assists in investigations in response to allegations of improper conduct.

    Compliance:

    Ensures standard financial systems and controls are established and maintained to provide appropriate level of controls over the organization’s resources.
    Develops and implements and provides necessary training on effective tools, systems, policies, and procedures that ensure consistent compliance.

    Financial, Resource, and Risk Management:

    Provides oversight on financial transactions.
    Conducts monthly financial reviews and analysis to ensure compliance with Pathfinder and client requirements.
    Guides and directs country finance staff to effectively record and document transactions, following Pathfinder’s policies and processes.
    Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

    Facilitates identification of issues and resolutions to mitigate risks.

    Financial Capacity Building and Development:

    Trains country finance staff on all Pathfinder financial policies and procedures, internal controls, and best practices

    Audit Preparation:

    Collects and organizes information from countries in preparation for the annual external audit and/or program specific audit.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Management, or related field, or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required competencies.
    10-12 years’ professional experience working in project accounting and financial management, drafting guidance documents, and designing procedures and internal controls.
    Work experience with a multinational organization.
    Agency and Donor Rules and Regulations: Foundational knowledge of USAID, and other governmental and nongovernmental agencies’ rules and regulations.
    Financial Accounting Systems Implementation: Foundational knowledge of financial accounting systems implementation at a project or program management level.
    Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare and develop required financial reports.

    Job Purpose:
    The Senior Finance and Administration Officer Serves as primary support for the finance and administrative functions of Pathfinder offices. Ensures that office financial and administrative activities are managed according to Pathfinder and donor regulations and policies and also supports the Finance Manager in overseeing the financial operations and activities of the organization.  Overall, the role of a Senior Finance and Administration Officer is to ensure the efficient and effective management of financial resources, maintain financial integrity, and contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintain on a day-to-day basis records and documentation of all financial transactions of Pathfinder for all projects and other office transactions ensuring transactions are properly coded and journal entries recorded in the Pathfinder accounting system after review and approval.
    Track and follow up on outstanding advances and ensure timely liquidation.
    Support the Finance Manager to prepare month-end financial reports as well as participate in the preparation of reports to donors.
    Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis for review by the Finance Manager.
    Assists Finance Manager with ensuring compliance with donor and Pathfinder policies. Ensure expenses are in accordance with donor regulations (expenses are reasonable, allowable, and allocable), and Pathfinder policies and procedures.
    Support the process of cash requests from headquarters, by coordinating with relevant departments.
    Collaborate with the Finance Manager in the development and monitoring of budgets. Assist in forecasting financial trends, identifying variances, and providing analysis to support decision-making.

    Required Education, Training, and Experience:

    A degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or related fields from recognized institutions of higher learning
    At least five (5) years or more relevant experience in a progressive responsible position.
    Full Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
    Fluency in both written and spoken English.

    Minimally Required Job-Specific Competencies:

    Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Experience with accounting systems such as Serenics, Navision, etc.
    Previous experience with online banking platforms is an added advantage.
    Experience working with USAID-funded projects, and with Mobile Money payments modules is a strong advantage;
    Ability to use various Microsoft office applications.
