    Reports to the Chief Accountant.
    Responsible for Bank, MPESA and Swipe Reconciliations towards ensuring accuracy of the Trial balance.
    Key responsibilities: 

    Reviewing financial transactions in the ERP;
    Ensuring recording of bank and loan transactions and completeness of financial transactions in the ERP;
    Ensuring and filing of Bank statements, bank reconciliations and other supporting documents;
    Monitor bank transactions and ensure all collections as per cashiers’ shifts are banked intact;
    Preparing bank reconciliations for all cash books against bank statements, MPESA statements and swipe statements within set timelines;
    Reconciliation of receipt control accounts;
    Loan reconciliations;
    Reviewing allocation report and ensuring reconciliations of remittances are done within the set timelines;
    Ensure Superior Customer Experience to all internal and external client;

    Minimum requirement:

    CPA/ACCA Graduate or
    Bachelor degree in business and CPA/ACCA Part II/ATD
    At least 3 years’ experience in Audit and accounting of which 2 years must be in reputable audit firm as an Audit Semi Senior or above;
    Experience in a hospital environment is desirable

    Minimum Requirement:

    Higher Diploma in Food, Nutrition & Dietetics
    Minimum of 4 years work experience in clinical nutrition.
    Must have a license from Kenya nutrition and dietetics (KNDI
    Experience in Preparation of therapeutic diets and dietary counseling.
    Must have Basic Life Support Course and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course
    Computer skills and good reporting skills including experience in Health Information Systems
    At least two year’s professional experience nutrition Program monitoring and evaluation in county.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Cashiering

    Receipting all types of monies from clients i.e. in and outpatient walk-ins, and for any other services.
    Banking the day’s collections with the treasury.

    Sending pre-authorizations to insurances for day case procedures
    Explaining to patients their bill

    Admissions

    Discharges

    Confirming that all relevant documents are provided at the point of discharge i.e. letters of undertaking from the insurances and corporates, NHIF documents from the patient/relatives, discharge summaries from the care management and doctor’s invoices.
    Finalizing all the patients’ bills affecting NHIF where applicable and also giving discounts.
    Seeking for extension from the insurance companies and corporates where the bill exceeds the amount in the undertaking letter.
    Ensuring that all self-paying patients clear the bills before they are discharged or the undertakings are done by the authorized staff.
    Ensuring that all patients who are supposed to sign the bills before discharge do the same.

    Registration
     

    Confirmation of mode of payment.
    Confirming validity for insurance or corporate patients.
    Opening of new file.
    Retrieving of old files.
    Activation of patients.
    Issuing of appointment cards.
    Any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor, senior accountant or senior management from time to time.

    Job Specifications

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Might also be required to prepare the area of the patient’s body that’s being operated on by cleaning or shaving the area maintains and keeps all surgical tools sterile and orderly.
    Maintains and keeps all equipment clean and functional.
    Order and maintain necessary supplies in the operating room.
    Prepares the patients before and after surgery by washing and disinfecting the area for surgery
    Prepare necessary equipment and instrument prior to procedure / surgery.
    Assists in bringing the patient to the operating room.
    Attends to the needs of the patients while inside the operating room .
    Assist surgeon during the procedure; under the direction of a surgeon, passes instruments that are used during an operation.
    Assist nursing staff in keeping patient safe during the procedure by assisting  with the application or restraints and following the recommended protocol.
    He/she might be required to cut sutures, control breathing equipment, and sterilize and restock the operating room after surgery.
    Takes care of any specimens obtained for testing following laboratory procedures by deliver specimens to the laboratory dispose of waste that’s removed during an operation.
    Provides assistance to the surgical team and coordinates very closely with the doctors, nurses and laboratory staff.
    Clean and disinfect operating room area after each procedure / surgeries.
    Reports any defective equipment and instrument for repair or replacement.
    Assist other staff in discharging patient as needed.
    Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the anesthetist in charge of theatre.

    Overall Purpose
    Manage the payables processes for The Karen Hospital and verify, capture and process all expenditure elements and ensure accuracy, validity and completeness of company liabilities/claims and payments. Also ensure correct accounting.
    Key responsibilities:
    Receive and verify/validate all incoming invoices to the Hospital ensuring they are accurately and completely processed by the Inventory accountant.

    Completing the expenditure process by validating invoices to the relevant Ledger accounts.
    Post invoices relating to overheads and other services rendered to the hospital in the System.
    Posting of utilities bills and other expenses to the Navision system e.g. telephone bills, water           bills, internet services, electricity bills & all other outsourced services to the hospital.
    Verifying and matching creditor’s invoices with LPO’s, goods received notes and Credit notes.
    Responding to creditors queries on payments dues and statements.
    Processing payment vouchers and ensuring they are adequately supported.
    Processing supplier payments as per creditor’s weekly payment plan or when they fall due in order to sustain and maintain flow of goods and services for the smooth running of Hospital operations.
    Maintaining the creditors filing system including the invoices, credit notes, creditors’ statements and payments vouchers files
    Generating of monthly creditors ageing analysis and reconciling creditor’s statement on monthly basis with creditor’s ledger accounts.
    Posting cheques, telegraphic transfers and any other form of payment to the relevant creditor’s accounts or directly expensing to correct General Ledger accounts.
     Preparing & paying all statutory deduction on timely basis.i.e. P.A.Y.E, NHIF, NSSF, HELB & withholding tax and vat for the consultancy services offered to the hospital.
    Monthly reporting on accounts payable performance in the finance meeting.
     Performing any other duties assigned from time to time by the management

    Minimum job Requirement

    At least CPA /ACCA Part 2 and 2 Years experience
    Business related degree and at least CPA/ACCA Part 1 and 2 years of relevant experience.
    Experience in computerized financial accounting systems.
    Must be computer literate with excellent working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
    Good analytical skills, negotiation and interpersonal skills

    Key Responsibilities

       Monitor the organization’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations
       Carryout compliance review and Ad hoc checks on compliance with Hospital’s internal procedures and policies

       Assist in development of robust key risk indicators on risk factors for monitoring and reporting of risk exposures.

    Qualification
