    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Inspection and analysis of incoming raw materials for compliance with the set standards.
    Quality control of in-process material to ensure final products conform to the set standards.
    Collaboration with other partners in the value chain to deliver safe nutritious foods at optimal costs.
    Develop and foster good relations with internal and external customers and suppliers.
    Generate data and maintain accurate quality assurance records and procedures
    Coordinate outsourced services carrying out various tasks on all Swissport owned facilities
    Maintain high hygienic standards of the staff, in the factory around the facility.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Bsc in Food Science and Quality assurance.
    Attained B+ in KCSE.
    Work experience in busy laboratory or product development department.
    Experience in lateral flow techniques for detection and measurement of aflatoxins and microorganisms will be a distinct advantage
    Experience in food certification protocol will be added advantage.
    At least 2 years as an analyst in a busy operational environment.
    Conversant in laboratory work and safety procedures
    Good written and verbal communication skills
    Self-driven with great sense of initiative.

  • Assistant Accountant

    Assistant Accountant

    We are looking for an assistant accountant to support the finance department with day-to-day accounting duties as detailed below:

    Duties and Responsibilities Accounting 

    Preparing and maintaining customer records.
    Receiving and processing orders and payments from customers.
    Maintain accounts receivable, customer files, and generate plus analyze receivables list. 
    In liaison with Sales team, keep track of outstanding debts to achieve collection targets and ensure positive cash flow and maintain debtors’ book to ensure that debt status is accurate and up to date.
    Submitting a monthly sales report in time for decision making; preparing, analyzing and reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by brand, by customer type, region, and any other requirement by management.
    Managing petty cash ,conducting daily banking activities.
    Maintaining an up-to-date billing system to generate and send out invoices. 
    Organizing bank reconciliations for office accounts and ensure company bank accounts are funded for payments. 
    Assist in preparation of account statement and financial reports, audit exercise and any other financial function as assigned.
    Compiling stock records and information to keep a proper record of finished goods inventory.
    Preparing payment requisitions and relevant documents for payments.
    Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

    Experience, Skills & Competencies
    The successful candidate will be required to have the following skills and competencies: 

    At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
    Experience in accounting and reporting functions, financial management and administration.
    Excellent report writing and presentation Skills, good negotiation skills, sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
    Financial analytical and planning skills.
    Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
    Professional experience with Excel and accounting packages such as QuickBooks.
    CPA Part 2
    A Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage

    Merchandiser

    Duties and Responsibilities include:

    Provide merchandising support and services to the assigned retail outlets.
    Retail relationship: build, sustain and enhance rapport with the store personnel.
    Stock management: maintain optimum amount of quantity of stock of all SKUs according to FIFO.
    Sales management: trigger orders and follow up on delivery. Ensure growth in the shelf off take.
    Visibility: ensure merchandising objectives are achieved by negotiating for space, product placement, extra feature displays and growth.
    Reporting: ensure accurate reports are submitted on time to the sales manager.
    Create product awareness and commercial orientation when required.
    Carry out any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    At least a Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any other related field.
    At least one-year experience as a merchandiser.
    Confident with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    Must have a functional smart phone.
    Must have a valid food handler’s certificate and covid certificate.
    Must have a valid certificate of good conduct

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Advise and support the CEO to conduct market and value chain assessments and feasibility studies to inform the direction of the choice of value chains.
    Provide technical support for smallholder farmer outreach activities and enterprise development.
    Facilitate market linkages for smallholder farmers through continuous contracting and trainings.
    Facilitate an increase to access of financial services by building relationships with financial institutions.
    Advise on processing and value addition activities for smallholder farmers.
    Design capacity development interventions including trainings, mentorship and coaching programs for smallholder farmers.
    Ensure full integration and effective engagement of smallholder farmers in different value chain systems.
    Build links with local financial institutions to harness start-up capital for farmers.
    Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the different identified value chains including the county governments in the geographical areas of implementation.
    Establish, build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners to facilitate the provision of support to the farmers.
    In conjunction with M&E, facilitate monitoring of production in the different value chains by ensuring that effective mechanisms are in place to monitor activities and facilitate development of organizational and donor reports.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Agri-business, management, or economics required.
    Strong computer skills especially with MS Word and Excel and other Office related packages
    At least 3 years’ experience in the implementation of agri-business/enterprise development projects, working within value chains or related projects, at a similar level.
    Strong project management skills
    Experience in facilitating the provision of business development services (BDS) to develop smallholder enterprises.
    Experience in mentoring micro, small to medium enterprises
    Strong training and facilitation skills.
    High level skills and experience in capacity building and report writing.
    Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
    Valid motorcycle license will be an added advantage

    We are looking to hire an FMCG Lead Sales Executive whose task will be to maximize sales volume and revenue growth in general trade and modern trade. S/He will be in charge of growing our customer base, manage relationships, execute planned initiatives, drive new product innovations as well as oversee and execute sales operations for maximum cost efficiency and sales productivity.
    S/He will report to the Managing Director.
    Role Purpose
    Implement sales business strategy to achieve business objectives of increased profitability, impeccable customer service and efficient excellence in trade execution.
    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Champion and lead the launch and roll out activities of an upcoming new product line into both modern and general trade, and exports
    In the initial 6 months, dedicate 60% of time to a product launch undertaking critical planning, communication and in-market successful execution
    Identify and implement new business opportunities on existing business to increase customer base and continuously profitability growth
    Prospects for new clients to identify and develop new accounts geared to achieve increase in number of accounts and brand visibility of company products
    Ensure Route to Market & Territory Management optimisation, including spot utilising commercial opportunities in new accounts so that future business opportunities can be planned and implemented effectively
    Develop and execute sales and distribution strategies, while monitoring sales in the market to ensure targets and objectives are met
    Increase sales, drive volumes and supervise the sales process by following up on orders, deliveries and collections to attain optimal availability of products over long and short term
    Ensure cash collections payment of receivables in a timely manner as per agreed terms with customers (work and communicate closely with Finance department)
    Manage customers credit terms and limits in order to maximize sales and minimize risk
    Maintain accurate records of all accounts sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory
    Prepare weekly or monthly sales reports and provide market feedback to the Manager regarding movement of products
    Prepare regular reports and analysis on sales and lead sales & marketing activities and meetings
    Build and maintain effective customer relationships in order to build strong loyalty
    Handle and respond to existing products queries from clients quickly, effectively and accurately
    Provide customers with the appropriate sampling of products in response of their enquiries and optimise customer service to attain superior customer relation and long-lasting partnerships. Provide solutions and solve arising customers complaints in given accounts
    Execute surveys and market intelligence gathering so that the organisation is constantly aware of current market trends and enable a competitive advantage.

    Qualification, Experience & Education

    Relevant university degree or diploma is business, sales & marketing is essential
    Minimum 2 years relevant FMCG experience in a sales/marketing environment
    Under 26 years of age
    FMCG experience especially in distribution
    Hands on experience and knowledge in field sales
    Existing networks and contacts an added advantage
    Capable of meeting and or exceeding monthly activity and sales goals
    Familiarity with the industry
    Clean and Valid driving license is an added advantage.
