    Build Engineer

    Responsibilities

    Maintain and Enhance source control system, software configuration management system, continuous integration environment, and build/deployment tools to successfully and efficiently release code to production
    Manage version control and ensure that the most current version of the software includes all of the necessary updates.
    Lead bug fixing and troubleshooting for each software version
    Perform OS build in Windows, Linux, Solaris, and AIX technologies troubleshooting and issue follow-up for the above
    Maintain software documentation for both internal use and for the end user
    Perform root cause investigation to failures in the build process
    Act as a point of knowledge within the team and wider function on the builds available
    Lead small activities projects where more than one build offering is part of the deployment
    Feedback on any issues to the Engineering team
    Design and maintain the build and deployment solutions across several environments for multiple teams
    Provide deployment support during regularly scheduled production deploys
    Day-to-day support of the Development Build process

    Requirements;

    At least four (4) years as a Build Engineer.
    Degree in computer science, Computer Science, Software Engineering IT, or related course.
    Must have build automation experience with .Net and .net core
    Extensive programming and coding experience
    Excellent programming skills and mastery of one or more programming languages, including Unix, PowerShell, or Python
    Extensive coding and scripting ability, familiarity with a wide assortment of open-source technology and applications
    Experience in the deployment and testing of new programs.
    Good communication skills both verbal and written.
    Great analytical Skills.
    Must be comfortable working with a large team of developers and programmers.

    Work as part of an integrated team, and collaborate with colleagues on common activities within the Human Security portfolio.

    Demonstrable knowledge of UK Gender policies, strategies, and programs including PSVI, Women, Peace & Security, and the International Development (Gender Equality) Act 2014.
    Broad experience in developing and delivering training, including integrating gender into training and other activities across Africa.
    In-depth knowledge of Human Security and Gender issues including Women’s Peace and Security, conflict-related sexual violence, Children and Armed Conflict, Protection of Civilians, and fundamental humanitarian principles.
    Experience as a Gender or Civilian Protection Officer, preferably working in a civ-mil-pol environment with mission experience with the UN/ AU and other international stakeholders.
    Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, including the Horn of Africa, preferably with the African military.
    Strong communication skills and ability to present information clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

    Key Responsibilities

    Drive guests, staff, and other authorized persons as per instructions
    Observe the road and traffic laws and regulations of the Republic of Kenya

    Keep an accurate Log Book of daily movements, servicing, and vehicle defects. Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, etc.
    Assist guests with the delivery of luggage to and from the vehicle.
    Assist the Transport Manager to ensure vehicle insurance and other Government license requirements are updated according to schedule.

    Requirements

    Minimum of 4 years experience as a driver with a good driving record and preferably from the tour and travel industry.
    KPSGA certificate.
