    Specification

    Completion of AF G1084B/JAMES (Job Card) during/after repair. All work to be carried out in accordance with (iaw) procedures and standards as stated in Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP’s) and or manufacturers repair manuals.
    Locate and demand spares using appropriate AESP and manufacturer repair manuals. Working as part of a repair team and as an individual. Comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
    Comply with engineering hygiene standards ensuring that all tools on charge are serviceable and accounted for. Drive and operate equipment’s whilst under inspection. Comply with Engineering Management System (EMS).
    Carry out monthly toolbox checks iaw Defence Logistic Framework (DLF).
    Clean work areas.
    Carry out manual handling tasks.
    Carry out Audits when required as directed by the CoC.
    Any other ad-hoc duties commensurate with grade as directed by the line manager. Carry out any other duties commensurate with the trade/grade as directed by the MLM.

    Requirements

    Must hold a full valid Kenyan driving licence and be capable of passing the BATUK Matrix Test and be prepared to drive military vehicles.
    Knowledge in ICDL. Kenyan Trade Test Class 1 certificate in trade discipline (equivalent to C&G grade
    Computer Qualified/Experienced on Microsoft Word and Excel.
    An excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
    The individual in this job must be honest and have integrity.
    They must possess excellent communication skills, be punctual, and be willing to work as part of a multi-ethnic team.

    To provide logistic support to BATUK Wksp, in particular, the Receipts and Issues of ES Materiel. Proficiency and accountability are a large aspect of this role. Stand in/deputise in case of absence and support the ES Spares Demander.
    Specification

    Receipt and Accounting of all ES Mat demanded by BATUK Wksp.
    Receipt and Accounting of all items for back-loading and local disposal.
    Collection of all ES Mat demanded by Wksp from 2nd Line Stores.
    Return all P Class/returnable items to 2nd Line stores completeing paperwork as required.
    Management of Unit Technical Documents Online (TDOL).
    Update AFG 1084A (Job Card) on receipt of ES Mat. Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
    Deputize for ES Mat/Spares demander.
    Demand of all L2 Spares on MJDI for BATUK Workshop and supply response via MJDI.
    Take control of BATUK Wksp Demand Book. Manage/demand of all Wksp technical expence.
    Carry out Audits on any technical publications held within BATUK.
    Any other ad-hoc duties commensurate with grade as directed by the line manager.
    Carry out any other duties commensurate with the trade/grade as directed by the Wksp CoC.

    Requirements            

    Certificate/Diploma in procurement or purchasing and supplies chain management or equivalent.
    Clean full Valid Driving License.
    Good organizational and time management skills.
    Computer qualified, good understanding of Word and Excel.
    A good knowledge and understanding of English, written and spoken English.
    The individual in this job must be honest and have integrity.

    Performs a variety of skilled maintenance and plumbing repair tasks and responsibilities within a specific area, each with specific components and discrete tasks.     Main duties:

    Carryout routine maintenance, servicing and repair of all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications ensuring they are operational at all times.
    Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, and plastic solvent.
    Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools. Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
    Able to diagnose faults, order spares and completes plant equipment log books for all heating, water, and drainage equipment.
    Have a good working knowledge of military repair procedures and relevant legal requirements.
    Able to identify, make safe and isolate faulty or dangerous installations and equipments using appropriate procedures in compliance with MOD SRPs and organise the repair of the facility.
    Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Petroleum Safety Rule Book as required by current SRPs.
    Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Confined Spaces JSP 375 Vol 3 Ch 6 and remain in date with breathing apparatus use and remain medically fit.
    Comply with the Safe Systems of Work under MOD SRPs and act as Person in Charge for Petroleum.
    Able to supervise and control labourers and junior tradesmen under his charge.
    Complete and pass an annual First Aid and Fire training course.
    Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis; identifies and communicates needed repairs; directs repairs, may participate in making repairs, transporting materials and equipment and other duties as directed.
    Performs related duties as required or assigned.

    Cleaners are employed to clean all designated offices within BATUK Main and SLA Accomodation in Nyati Camp and any other place assigned by the Camp Manager.

    Main Duties

    Clean all offices and accommodation in accordance with the timings enforced by the Barracks Manager
    Ensure all offices and accommodation that are cleaned earlier than normal are secured when you exit it.
    When cleaning offices you are to complete the following tasks:

    Mop the floor
    Empty bins
    Clean all surfaces
    Sweeping of the floor

    Dusting down all IT equipment
    Keeping the immediate area outside of the office building clean
    Once a week the office is to receive a deep clean, which involves a more thorough clean which should have no impact on the BATUK office staff. This may include starting earlier and finishing earlier on that specific day.
    You are to ensure you demand cleaning materials and equipment as and when required through the cleaning supervisor.
    Working unsupervised delivering high results of cleanliness.
    Once a week you are to check the AF B 115 in each office to confirm all items annotated are still present and correct. When deficiencies or surpluses are identified the Nyati Barracks Manager is to be informed the same day.
    Reports all faults within offices to the Nyati barrack Manager promptly.
    Work a 45 hr week (which includes breaks and lunch break, a total of 1 hr a day) between Mon – Su as per the cleaning rosta provided by the Nyati Bks Manager. A working week will consist of 5 days work within the week, which may include working on weekends.
    As most BATUK staff work Mon – Fri, your working week will usually be Mon – Fri.
    Cover the duties of other cleaners when they are on sick leave or annual leave.
    Ensure you have the correct cleaning materials and products to complete your tasks and if more are required then speak to cleaning supervisor. If not allocated the items you are to bring this to the attention of the Nyati Bks Manager.
    Secondary duties:

    Be prepared to assist in cleaning other areas within Nyati as at and when required.
    Be prepared to assist in cleaning properties that have been vacated for a period of time prior to a march in.

    Requirements
    Essential:

    Experience of cleaning and working with COSHH items.
    Good understanding of English oral
    Must be able to work unsupervised and achieve high results within tight time lines
    Must be punctual
    Highly motivated and takes pride in what they are employed to do

    Desirable:

    Well organised
    Self driven
    Have an understanding of recycling and the reasons why BATUK recycle items from offices

    Must have full, Valid Kenyan Driving Licence Classes B, C and D (Van and Minibus)

    Desirable:
