    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Receive inquiries from clients and verify if the all information provided.
    Undertake dipstick analysis of financial reports
    Follow up with the client, management and team members to ensure closure of transactions.
    Undertake in-depth buyer analysis and prepare buyer reports
    Prepare Underwriting Report, present and defend the report to the Credit Committee.
    Prepare the policy wording and liaise with the client to negotiate and agree on the policy terms.
    Keeping up-to-date knowledge of key issues in credit analysis and industry sector
    Enhance quality of credit analysis and make recommendations about procedural/policy changes.
    Manages good business relationships with existing or new clients.
    Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS ,SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, Engineering Insurance, Economics, Professional qualifications in Accounting and Finance is an added advantage.
    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit analysis preferably in trade credit insurance or similar analytical roles in finance sector.
    Strong credit, analytical, problem solving abilities, financial skills, Trade finance analysis and Corporate lending (including ability to interpret financial statements)
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and financial modelling.
    Possess effective presentation and communication skills, report writing and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
    Ability to work with tight delivery schedules to ensure efficiency and deal closure
    Demonstrate high levels of integrity, sound judgement and honest and ethical approach

    Structuring and analysing transactions including insurance, bonds, guarantees and financing products

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Degree in Finance, Law, Engineering, or Science related field from a recognized Institution.
    ACII or CFA level 1 and /or related qualification will be an added advantage
    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services or corporate banking sector.
    Proven track record in emerging or international markets
    Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and proven analytical skills in credit within banking, insurance, credit agency or export development bank
    Utmost attention to detail and strong communication skills

    Prior experience in financial modelling is an advantage

    Credit Analyst Job Key Responsibilities
    Structuring and analysing credits including insurance ,bonds , guarantees and financing products
    You will be responsible for underwriting corporate accounts and financials to make an independent assessment on new transactions / clients and limits
    Be confident in your ability to resolve complex credit situations and push back when needed
    Understand and adhere to credit policy when deciding on credit requests or providing a recommendation
    Analysing and quantifying credit risk profiles
    Identify, analyse and address high risk situations
    Perform client rating calculations and ensure that you comply with internal rating processes
    Strong understanding of corporate and commercial credit principles
    You must be comfortable with providing training as and when needed to more junior staff, paying particular emphasis to efficiently processing credit applications and highlighted key credit risk issues that can arise.
    Qualifications for the Credit Analyst Job
    Masters degree in Finance, economics or related field from a recognized Institution.
    A minimum of 5 years senior management experience.
    Proven track record in emerging or international markets
    CFA level 2 qualification will be an added advantage
    Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and proven analytical skills in credit within banking ,insurance, credit agency or export development bank
